Quorn recipe ideas

Hi veggies!

I've used Quorn pieces in cooking for quite some time now, but I always seem to use them in stir-fries. Has anyone got any ideas what other dishes I could make with them? Thanks.

Easy peasy

im married to a veggy and im forever using quorn in everything i would normally use meat in. for instance pasta bakes with fillets, enchiladas, fajitas, spag bol, curries, chilli or in a burgignon sauce, i now love the stuff!! x

Quorn filo bundle

Pan fry with a little oil, chopped leek, add sage, white wine salt and pepper and cook for a little longer towards the end add double cream. Leave the quorn to cool. Use filo pastry, 2 sheets lay one sheet horizontally the second sheet diagonally. Put a large spoonful of the filling in the middle of the filo and collect the filo up towards the middle to make a bundle and pinch the gathered filo together, you can use a length of leek to tie the bundle. Cut along a length of leek and make a ribbon. You could put this filling in any kind of pie or top it with creamy mash potatoe

You can make curries, pies and casseroles just like using chicken only don't cook it quite so long.
Also use quorn mince like you would ordinary mince but it needs a bit more liquid. Mix quorn mince with 1 tin condensed mushroom soup and 1 tin condensed tomato soup with a finely chopped onion plus some finely chopped mushrooms add 1 tin of water and cook until vegetables are soft.Boil some pasta, drain and mix into the quorn mince. Put into a casserole dish and cover with grated cheese, pop into the over for about 1/2hour until heated.
Bon appetite!!!!
Hope you enjoy this.

Quorn in general

Hi, I use a chilli sauce from tesco it's a cheap one but I put more chilli powder in.
All you do is put the sauce and qorn mince into a bowl or other microwave safe container with some red kidney beans.
Cook for 7-10 minutes serve with rice, or put it into a tortilla with sliced onion, tomatoe, lettuce, cucumber, soured cream and grated cheese roll ino a fajita mmm.
Other ones spaghetti bolognese sauce eg Dolmio, some quorn mince and a can of mixed veg, cook in microwave as abouve serve with rice.
One of my favourites is quorn fillets, cook them in just normal water for 7 minutes in the microwave, cook egg noodles slice the fillets into pieces and toss the noodles in chilli (ones that are pre chopped in a tube) and some sesame oil beware not to put too much chilli in unless you luike it hot!!!
Also cottage pie quorn mince, make veggie gravy, need a can of garden peas, can of either sliced or baby carrots and a can of baked beans wack it all together in a big bowl microwavd for approximately 10 minutes drain off excess liquid but do make sure there is enough gravy put in an oven proof dish, top with fresh mashed potatoe and put in an oven that has been pre-heated to 200 degrees until it bubbles and the potatoes are nice and golden.
You can also used the quorn fillets or pieces with chilli sauce with tortillas soured cream, lettuce tomatoe, cucumber etc!
Hope that's something a bit different!
