Diet food

Why is is that when I look at diet receipes they always contain foods that I don't like, are not suitable for lunch in an office and cost too much.

I hate yoghurt, creme fraiche, fromage frais, spicy food, rice, healthy beans (I like baked beans though, noodles, cous cous etc.etc. Why can't they come up with a diet that just uses ordinary foods? Just got a slimming magazine with a free receipe booklet for meals to make in 30 mins and guess what - the majority usespices e.g. chilli (my pet hate), tiger prawns, who can afford them when you are the only wage earner, hot pepper sauces, noodles. Out of the whole booklet only the desserts contain stuff I would eat.

Help!!!!

Good breakfast ?!

Hi
I think loosing weight is the main problem now
I've read an interesting article on Yahoo front page today about having a big meals on breakfast and it helps in loosing wt or at least keep u fit, untill we found another solution ) hopefuly

Keep it simple

i also have the same problem, im a little bit of a fussie eater and bit of a carb addict, its a real nightmar getting lunch at work. am just sticking to chicken sandwitches at the mo. could also do with some tips.

Complicated diet food...

maybe sticking to a diet just isn't for you, being a student i too need to "diet" on a budget. i have found the best thing for me is sticking to a healthy eating plan as opposed to following a day to day strict diet full of complicated meals. I have three square meals a day and snack on fruit when hungry. i tend to start the day with a small portion of bran flakes (of something similar) with a chopped banana (or other fruit if your not a fan of bananas) with semi-skimmed milk for lunch i might have a small jacket potato with baked beans and salad or a sandwich made with brown bread or soup with a brown roll or a salad. For dinner i have a small portion of pasta with lots of veg in a tomato based sauce or grilled fish/chicken and salad or on the days you haven't had a potato for lunch you could have one for dinner. Good luck!!!

South beach diet anyone?

hey
i was looking to start a diet and i wanted some reviews on south beach diet? anyone try it, or know anyone who has tried it? it sounds pretty decent to me, not restrictive, and yummy delicious meals. they are offering a free profile right now as some promotion so im more tempted, http://www.southbeachdietheart.com/,

some opinions would be appreciated

South beach diet

My ex boyfriend's mother was pre diabetic and the doctors recommended she go on he south beach died. She stopped eating TV dinners and started cooking out of fresh ingredients (that's when I started eating at their house haha). She lost a ton of weight and became a lot healthier, plus the food they ate was just fine!

I haven't looked specifically into it, but I have to say, as far as diets go, that one seems to work well.

Try dr hay's diet

Try Dr Hay's diet. There is no restrictions - just a good way of food combining. It's easy to stick to and has helped me a lot. I was never overweight much but wanted to loose a few kilograms. A year ago, in just 3 months I lost 4kg without feeling as if I was on a diet and without yo-yo effect. I am still on that food combinign diet and still those 4 kg slimmer. I eat occasionaly sweets and enjoy fruits - but I stick to 80/20 rule (80% of time eat healthy, 20% treat yourself).

Dr Gillian McKeith in You Are What You Eat promotes the same way of food combining. Just try it It helped me.

Hay diet recipes

I am also starting the Hay diet mostly to help with intolerances. Do you have any good dessert recipes? Who introduced you to the Hay Diet? Best wishes, Aoife
