I am all that you describe above!!
Hi Victoria, I can relate to all the above, extreme diets, diabetes caused by obesity, paid a fortune joiining slimming clubs, Liquid meal replacements, cabbage soup, you name it ive tried it. All to no good though. This year I vowed to make a change for good with a fail safe method. Weight loss surgery, and even more terrifying going to {Prague to have it!) As someone who is afraid of travelling, surgery and DRs it was a massive step to take. I went on June 28th 2009 and it is nearly 5 weeks since the operation of a gastric sleeve, a method in which 75% of your stomach is removed. It cost £5,000, which i didnt have! but i was so determined I found a way through the credit union, whereby you can borrow double of what you save with them. I work in a house with 3 adults with learning disabilities and love my job immensly. It was an innocent remark from one of them (she was watching Eastenders) and said when Heather came on "there's Jacqui" and she and the staff were hysterical. We had the same top on "from Evan's" It hurt but i had to laugh. loss so far 32pounds so I am so excited, coming down from 20stones and now weigh 17st 10. in under 5 weeks!! now that's what i call results.
