A diet buddy

Hi I have plans to start the Cabbage Soup Diet tmw to kick start my system and after that plan on healthy eating and gym excercise to get me down to that elusive size 8

My biggest problem with keeping to a diet is keeping fitting it in my social life and staying away from red wine!! My friends are unfortunately not very helpful at helping me stick with a diet

I work 5 day a week 9am-5pm and also work 10pm-6am on Friday and Saturday Nights which makes my plans even more difficult as I need recipe ideas that can keep my energy levels up through out the night.

I have recently joined the gym so will be working out for 30 min sessions on my lunch to help! Unsure of my weight at the moment, I've let myself go what with working so much and fitting in everything the way I looked was not a priority, I've always been lucky with being slim and the weight just seemed to creep on without anyone noticing!! (I think my new boyfriend of the past 6 mths is partly to blame )The trouble now I don't fit into my clothes and can't afford to buy myself a new wardrobe in a new dress size!!

Hope to hear from you!!

Day one!

1 Plum and 2 handfuls of grapes!! I'm allowed to eat as much fruit as I like today (except banana's) But I'm just not feeling hungry! Probably still full from last night feast!!

Going to go home and make the Cabbage Soup which is going to need to last me until 6am due to work eek!!! Fingers crossed this works!!

Update

Well I'm on day 5 of the diet.. and it's not too hard! I think it's a good place to start as it's not too restrictive! It's actually left me feeling less hungry and I have lost weight.. admittedly not a lot of weight, but a few lbs isn't a bad start! I guess the thing will be where to go next once I finish? Should I try something a bit more restrictive where I am able to lose a lot more? Or just stick to the healthy eating and take to the gym more often (I'm going tonight with my friend our aim is not to leave until those machines tell us we've worked off 500 calories!) I want something that is more long term but also want to initially just lose the weight!!

What have people found most successful?
