I need some support and would love a diet buddy.

It's not too bad
I started on the 12th too. Well, I had my meeting on Thursday night but started on the Friday. I've not felt hungry and have quite liked all the shakes and soups but then I am a bit of a dustbin! I've really struggled with a nasty cough/cold and stomach upset which hit on my first day so it is a bit tricky to work out which of the diet or the cold is causing me the pain! I reckon it's all the cold but I'm a bit weakened by being at the very start of this diet so the cold effects are worse tahn they would have been.
This too shall pass.
Anyway, in time honoured tradition, I've started a blog too (my first ever) and if you're interested it's at http://livetoslim.blogspot.com
It seems as though there are a lot of us around the same start date so we should try and keep up and compare results!!
Good luck!

Lighter life follower
Hello, ive been on the ll programme for nine weeks and have lost three stone so far. Have you tried the soups yet? I absolutley hate them so have been on shakes and bars which i can manage to get down. I found that the shakes taste better if you use a blender, it thickens them up slightly and theres less of that grainy texture. This is the longest that i have ever stuck to a diet, i think its the dramatic weight loss that has done it for me. Seeing five pounds or more come off evey week is wonderful, you will be so shocked when you go back for your weigh in!!
I wish you all the best, i'm sure you'll do great, keep in touch and let me know how you get on.
Good Luck

Lighter life newbie
Hello Tracey I'm richie and Ive been on the LL regime for the past 6 days. Last night was friends wedding and had to sit there with my bottle of water watching (and worse smelling) some wonderful looking food! I have done all sorts of crazy extreme stuff in my past such as skydiving, 40 mile walks etc, some pretty grueling stuff but nothing compares to this!!!! I love the Thai soup soup and by adding a little salt and pepper to them, gives them a bit of a lift. Bars next week - whoopie! anyway - my question to you Tracey, who should be heartily congratulated on your programme for nine weeks is........ When does the constant thinking about food items disappear? anyway I thought I'd just stop by top say thank you for your posting as it has inspired me to keep going. Well done to you. Rich

Lighter life support
Hello Richie Thank you for your reply its great to hear from fellow lighter lifers. Well done for those first six days, they are the worst, i felt sooo bad. You will like the bars next week, my favourite is the lemon but the nut crunch one is revolting. You will notice that your sense of smell goes crazy and you can sniff out food from miles away!!! Congratulations for getting through a wedding, i have avoided all social occasions since starting this diet, dont know how much longer i can keep that up for though, Christmas was really tough!! I still think about food all the time even nine weeks down the line, i dont think that will ever go away, i suppose its the same for any addiction. Well done, keep going, if i can do this then so can you!! Keep in touch, lots of luck**

Lighter life shakes
Hi Tink,
Thanks for replying. I have not tried the shakes frozen yet, i think i'll give it a go this week. You will enjoy the bars they are great if you cut them up into about eight pieces and them microwave them for a minute, they turn into little biscuits, they taste great!!
Keep in touch and let me know how your getting on, i have some recipes you could have when the shakes start to get boring.
Best wishes, speak soon**
