It's not all bad!
Hiya! I'm on the Lighter Life diet because I'm sick of being 19 and fat. I was always the 'fat friend' who made my other friends look good and that had to change. I can honestly say that joining the Lighter Life programme has changed me completely. I'm only in week 3 and although it feels like longer, I've never felt better. I've lost 1st 5lb already and feel like a new woman. Have you started your programme yet? I plan to be on the programme for the full 3 months and then do maintainence. Well done for making this decision, you really won't regret it Have you been giben a recipe book by you LL councillor? If not I have some excellent recipes - how to make ice cream, chocolate bars, muffins, biscuits and crisps etc... email me at keb21@kent.ac.uk if you would like me to send you the recipes I've got!! Good luck, you'll be fine xx

Hi k
Hi there. Have started on LL today and have loads to lose..... more than 10.... so would love a diet buddy to help keep focused. The first day was hard ... not hungry but drinking 4 litres of water takes some doing and the food packs are going to be an aquired taste. Anyway, good luck to you on your success to be and hope to hear from you..

How are you getting on?
Hi Karen,
I was just on your site reading through your blog and was just wondering how you are getting on with LL? I myself am thinking of starting this diet and have also noticed other people are only putting up 1 or 2 posts then nothing. I hope your still sticking in but feel free to be totally honest with me. I can imagine this diet must be mentally difficult as well as missing physically eating food too!
Kind Regards
Jen Glasgow xx

Do it!
Hey Jen
Yes it's difficult at first and it takes a lot to say no, especially when people try to sabbotage your efforts. But in the first week you'll be so excited and motivated that you won't want to ruin anything. Also the weigh drops off you as soon as you start - I lost 11lb in the first week! That kept me going. I've never felt more awake and I have loads more energy than I ever did before The food packs take some getting used to but now I enjoy them and even feel bloated at times. It's essential to meet up with your group every week and they give you all the support you could possibly need, and it's a great opportunity for a girly chat! Even in week 3, I've changed my mindset completely, I feel slim and pretty! I have no idea how I ever managed to eat what I used to. Although it's expensive I promise it's worth every penny. When times get tough just stick it out and think about that gorgeous bikini you'll be wearing by July!! I really cant stress how amazing this is. Good luck and keep me posted! Kate xx

New to lighter life
Hi everyone I have just started Lighter Life today and thought it would be nice to join a group of people who understand the need of wanting to lose weight and gain some support while on this life jornery . first of I will introduce myself my name is Navy I'm mother of four children and each time I had a child the weight creeped up so I decided I would try the LL program and see what happens. Can some one shed some light how to make the shapes so its not lumpy I haven't had much luck getting it right yet. Any advice or sugguset most welcome. Hoping to get to know everyone. Navy

Lump free!!
Hi, You need a screw top plastic beaker, then just shake (good for hot soups ) A blender gives the best results & also thickens the cold shakes a bit.
Good luck, Benwell

Lighterlife
hi . i am starting the lighter life diet on 11th jan . i am quite worried about how it will feel , especially in the first few weeks. i am 43yrs and have a good 4 stines to lose. i would love to share other peoples'realistic experience on the diet. please get in touch.
|
|
|
Me too!!
I'm also starting on the 11th Jan although I have to lose a bit more than 4 stone - more like 8 or 9! I'm planning on going onto the forum as often as I can to read a friendly word or two as it seems as though we'll need all the support we can get. Do you have a family or other half to deal with while you're trying to diet? I only have my husband and I think he'll be supportive but you never know how it will pan out!
Anyway, let me know if you would like to email or be a diet buddy or whatever they call it here!

Well done
Just browsing and saw this website forum. Ive been on LL for 3 weeks and have lost a stone, so need to lose another 2. I am feeling brilliant, have huge amounts of energy, already getting lots of good comments and would recommend it if the willpower kicks in! Im not a huge overeater my weight has just crept up gradually and I didnt seem to be able to find it within myself to sort it out. Now I feel I can copy with anything. For me 100 days isnt forever, quite soon I'll be able to eat again. Im coping with cooking for the family, and socialising, although of course restaurant eating has been cut back as it proves a little bit more tricky. Just want to say good luck with the rest of your journey, and keep on looking forward, imagine what the next few stone will do for you if this 5 stone has done so much. Jacqui

Lighter life
I am going to my free information session on lighter life next week. I can't wait to get started but can someone tell me what happens if there is week you can't afford it ? Do you get chraged more the week's you do go and does the councelling give any help on what to do if you can't afford it one week. Hopefully there won't be too many weeks I will miss but it worries me I would undo the good work I will have done up to then.

Lightet life ??.
The blogs on LL run out imo because their success rate is very low !, people start the4 diet and don't get to their desired weight.
My friend did the Lighter Life programme and she and everyone else in her group ate food all the way through, she said she didnt want to at first as she really wanted to lose the 3 stones in 14 and a half weeks, but once everyone else was eating and the counsellor talked about it at the meeting as if it was o.k. when she went home all she could think about was FOOD! So none of them lost the weight they had expected to and they all ended up with lots of the packets of food which they were forced to buy! Whats the point of that?
