I'll give it a try
About 5 years ago I lost 4 stone after realising I was at the biggest I had ever been and knew that if I didn't do anything about it now I would end up waddling about at 20 stone. Although I have always been heavier than I should have been I just knew that this time I had to do something. I kept off all the weight until last year but then was very down and could not get out of this lull and started comfort eating A LOT. Although I feel better now I seem to have forgotten to stop eating. I am a sucker for sweet things especially chocolate but although I do eat them I don't eat half as much as I would like, but I have always also had a big appetite so my portions are always been bigger than what would be classed as normal. When I lost the 4 stone, it was just on my own and I just basically cut down I didn't do any faddy diet. I have been trying to lose the weight I put on since the beginning of the year but just can't stick to it for more than a week and recently I've put on about another half stone. I feel huge so god knows what I must have been like as I'm still 2 sizes smaller than when I was at my biggest. I don't want to go to a slimming club as I know that I have just not been in the right frame of mind so I honestly think it would be just a waste of money. Anyone able to give me some encouragement or ideas to stop being a greedy pig.

I'll be your diet buddy!
Hi i started weight watchers in january and lost 2 stone. i finished when i got to my goal weight in april. I have now relapsed and gained back all the weight i lost. I need someone to help motivate me as well as you do. I am following the weight watchers points scheme at home as I don't want to pay £5.50 each week to be weighed. i would be cool to have a buddy online to keep the motivation going.

I do!!
Hello all, I think this is a great idea. I have been trying to lose weight aourn my thighs for years. I am not obese or overweight either and I am definately a health freak. I try to eat a lot of fruits and water. I avoid the soda cause it gives me gas but tea is a must. Carbs are my big weakness so cutting those would be hard but i'm trying. How about fish? Is that bad for the thighs? Let me know.Veggies are hard for me to eat but I try to do carrots, celery and things like that. I will write more as time goes on but once again, I think this is a fun idea. Good luck to all who are in this process of weight loss. It's hard and takes a ton of discipline but you can do it. Think of the benefits!!!!

Hey there
Hi I saw your post. I also avoid carbs. I drink everything you drink, sometimes diet sodas. Try drinking Green Tea. It only works if you drink it every day. I make a litre of it every day with homey and drink it with ice. It speeds up your metabolism. Let me know if you have any tips for me

Bellies
Si^t-ups are the only way to firm up your belly! they worked a treat after I had my daughter and never thought I'd see myself in a bikini again!! I did started off low, then worked up to 50 every morning. It's the only way

Yay!
Oh hey there! It's kinda nice to know that somebody did react to my message. the world is nice after all!! ok..so about what we're gonna do about ourselves. i think we're pretty much in the same situation--although i don't really have a belly, if i ever gain weight, it's in my thigs and butt. u know, the stupid "spoon" figure, as they call it..so what i do is walk a lot. that is the best exercise in the world, believe me. you walk all your life. it's the most natural thing to do. so if you walk every day, it's great. that's what i do. and if you have a dog, it's even better. but u know, i think that actually the food is kinda more important in weight loss than the diet itself. whatever they tell us, i feel better results if i focus more on the food then on the exercise..i still don't get the physiology behind it, but i guess it's just one of those things we have to figure out for ourselves!!! So the food..limiting is good. I don't really have a problem with eating a pound of cake or anything, my problem is portions. so if you limit and eat healthy, that's the way to go. i eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, raw of course, and make it the main source of food in my diet. and of course i drink a lot of water. and if necessary, if i'm like really starving, i eat some yogurt, cottage cheese, milk, maybe a few slices of bread. but bread is deadly, watch for it. bread isn't a friend of diets and weight loss. so how r u doing? what tips do u have? can't wait for ur response!
