Need to lose a lot of weight

hi i need to lose at least 7 st i would love support as well be great to hear from you.

Hi, i'm new here!

Hi, I've been on Cambridge Diet for 3 weeks and lost 17lbs so far but I need to lose 8 stone overall and need some serious motivation as my partner keeps cooking up wonderful meals for himself and they smell so wonderful!
Did Lighter Life about 3 years ago and lost 5 and a half stone, then had some real big relationship problems and piled it back on plus more! I know I desperate want to lose it but just feel fed up cos I know I can't eat for at least another 6-7 months!

Ive lost 6st so far

I needed to lose 9st 3lb when i started dieting, and ive so far lost a mammoth 6....3 more to go, ive don it in only 5 months too, its amazing i feel so happy so healthy. ive been on the lighterlife diet dont know if any of you have heard of it but it really is amazing, its expensive £66 a week and is skinting me...but worth it becasue you get these councelling sessions too which really do help. I must admit im struggling a bit now as im in the next phase, but im determined to get back on track and lose this last 3. Ive tried SW, WW, Atkins, SF, and this is the only one that has worked for me. Gx

Omg

Well done on the weight loss

Keep it up chick!!!

Well done

Hi G. Well done on your amazing weight loss. I bet you feel amazing. I have just started (4th day) the Cambridge diet which is like the Lighterlife but cheaper. So far it's been ok. I have 2 1/2 stones to lose so looking forward to being slim for the first time in ages. What phase are you at now? Why do think you're struggling? Is it because you have been doing it for a while? You'll do it as you have done so well come this so far. Well done you. D x

Thanks!

Thank you and good luck with yours, I do feel amazing its unbelivable but in another respect its kinda screwed with my head a little you know self perceptions and the like etc etc all a bit hectic! Ive done my initial 100 days which is what you have to commit to and now im in development which is just the same without as much support and i can just decide when to stop or go into management. Yeah its becasue i got out of abstinance, i treated myself over xmas and ate....and then on my bitrhday and its so hard to get fully back into it. But ive had a little chat with myself and i know how easy it can be and it wont be that much longer until goal! but Ive just got to be strong, how are you keeping motivated...as i still have 3st to lose

Old photos !

I was going through some old photo, the normal and saw how I looked 2 1/2 stones lighter and it gave me the kick. That's what keeping me motivated and the fact that I want to look good in my clothes, get confident and build up my self esteem again. I am going to do it and the cambridge seems right for me. The counsellor is available all the time throughout your weight loss. That's another thing that helps me. I have said I will do it for 2 months so I hope i will lose the majority by then and then go back in to healthy food. I have to do it this time. No excuses. I want to look hot!! Try and focus on the positive stuff about the last 3 stones, your skin, how you look, peoples reactions etc. We can do it. I am sure. Do you exercise?

Wish i had some slim picks!

I have always been overweight so i dont have any thin pictures to use unfortunatley, but i do have fat ones which act as a deterrant. to begin with i thought it would be easy to go all the way through becasue i wanted it so much, but now becasue everything is already so markedly better im struggling. Yeah I go out on my bike twice a week, play squash once a week, walk my dog and do toning excersises, so im just going to make sure i have time for it cos when im doing it to my full potential it really gears me up. Yeah we can do it and we are going to look sooo hot!!! te he he.

Swapping diets

Hi gem gem

Have you thought about swapping to Cambridge for the last 3 stones of your diet? May help and also save you some money for the new clothes you're going to buy! It's apparantly similar to Lighter life but you could see it as starting again with the Cambridge if you get my drift? What do you think?

Hmm...

I guess it crossed my mind since reading these forums and from the sounds of it the 'food' as in the solid stuff is well jsut different to the LL stuff, i dont know that may be what I need, I have been so bad this weekend what the hell is wrong with me im eating crap out of emotion and sometimes not even that, sometimes just because and no matter how much i used all my motivational tools etc i cant seem to stop.....i think im going crazy, i do need to stick at it though, i have a weigh in on wed eve so between now and then im going to write a lot of how im feeling down so i can really get back on track. thank you for the encouragement and ideas, ive got a lot to write down, and a scrap book of my journey to make.....

Time of the month maybe!

Hi again

Do you think you're bored of this diet and just need to focus and "pretend" like it's day one to the new you. Is it the time of the month perhaps what's making you crave food? I too am an emotional eater so finding this discipline to do this diet is so important otherwise it won't work. Looking at better things to come for me because of my weight loss, new job, new clothes, confidence, is enough for me to stick to it. Writing them down when you feel like eating is a good idea as you can possibly discuss with your counsellor, friend or even on her to share your experiences may help. I have taken up salsa and reading to take my mind of food!! Things I normally enjoy. What kept you going when you lost your weight. Just look back and have a little think and then look at what you've achieved to date and what you will achieve 3 stones lighter and that should help you "start again" maybe. Gosh we all have bad food days, but the focus is getting back on track and achieving what you want. Do it for you.

Possible....imbalance

hmmm yeah that could sort of be it, I have changed the pill im on for the sake of the damn blemishes on my face so didnt have a gap between changing pills, so it may be hormonal in terms of i need a break or i have noticed it has had an effect on my general mentality, but also me and my man were having some problems the last few weeks, we split yesturday but on really good terms....and also i gave up smoking a month ago as well and that hasnt really helped the situation as im thinking maybe cos im not smoking im substituting with snacking....hectic.

Different reasons for distracting you

Yes, you've got a mixture of things going on at the same time so that would definitely be a factor. Sorry about your break up but at least it ended on a good note. They would all contribute to how you feel so at least you know what it could be. Doesn't giving up smoking make you eat more food! Changing the pill etc, all reasons you could be eating food again. Anyway having an idea is a good start. What's the plan now then? Back on it tomorrow? Can you speak to your counsellor before your weigh in on Wednesday perhaps?

You'll get there!

Hang in there gem gem and isn't always the way things get better and the weight becomes an issue. That's why you should do it as you know you will feel even better 3 stones lighter. You are active aren't you which I know helps all the same. I was told not to exercise until the 2nd week so I am back in the gym and my exercise classes next week. That will help the weight loss won ... Anyway, keep going, hang in there, look at your pictures and think of how you'll feel when you're there.

(*(*(* 10 stone to lose *)*)*)

I have to lose 10 stone by the end of this year, I'm so determined this time. Have lost 1.5 stones, so 8.5 to go!

I'm 26 years old, and really want to do this as I don't want to get to 30 and still be fat.

It might seem like an enormus amount of weight we all have to loose, but step by step, we can get there! I certainly will.
