Just started dieting again after realising that just watching what I eat isn't gonna do the trick. Started last Sat and have lost a pound already. I know its not much but every little helps. Thing is I've started counting my calories, Good I know but I eat on average 1000 calories a day, some days more some less. I don't eat chocolate or crisps or cheese, so how come I'm over weight???? Is it carbs? If so how do you cut out bread, potatoes, Pasta etc etc, what are they replaced with?
Please help, I got a yr to get down 2 stone as my friend is getting married and I'm maid of honour, I don't want to spoil the photos!

Hi Sandra,
After years of dieting I found out that its carbs that can make you overweight if yoou eat too much of them!! After being on the cambridge and looking into the atkins, both these diets you cut down on carbs and the weight drops off! When I cut down to 21grams of carbs the weight and inches stripped off me! I ate a lot of chicken, meats, eggs and you can buy low carb bread. If you tried it for a week you would see the difference.
