Try low fat

hi there
im wanting to lose about that amount. at least a stone and a half. i did try slimming world, which can be an amazing diet, but for some reason it wasnt working for me. i manged half a stone, but it was just taking forever!!
a good thing to do is to start walking. i know any kind of exercise sounds like too much like hard work, but walking is pretty easy, you dont need to join any classes, get dressed up in lycra, or buy any special equipment. just bang on some headphones, and just walk as far as you want/can every day. you will soon get used to it, and will find yourself enjoying it!
i now am just trying to eat low fat, which is anything under 4% fat. thats a personal preference, you could maybe go a little higher than that, if you find it too restrictive. i just check the food label, and see how much fat is in 100 grams, and if its over 4 grams, then its a no-no.
and ive found these 'snackajack' caramel rice cakes, which taste really sweet, and are only 2% fat. i find one satisfies my sweet craving. worth a try! or grapes. grapes are very sweet tasting. i also have jam on toast or marmalade (no butter) if i really want something sweet.
i know its scary to start, you think you will never be able to eat anything nice again, but if you start walking, and do the low fat thing 90% of the time, you can still afford to treat yourself maybe once a week. allow yourself one thing that you really really crave, and save it for your end of week, or start of week, etc, treat. then sit down with no distractions and enjoy every little bit. really savour it. then you can truly enjoy it, and if you add it in your 'allowance' you wont be eaten up by guilt and self loathing (we all do that dont we!!!)
also, its boring, but try to drink water as often as you can. lol, im still working on that one, i find that harder than anything else!!!

Low fat / low carb / low calorie diets are not the answer.

Low fat diets and lots of exercise are not the answer , your body needs essential fats to work properly. Cutting this out can actually slow the dieting process down.

Low carb diets make you lose a lot of energy , making you feel lethargic and erratic (beleive me , i tried a low carb diet for a while and it almost drove me and my family crazy)

Low calorie diets do not equal easy weight loss. If you cut your calorie consumtion in half, your metabolism will simply adjust to this cut and your body will only burn off half the calories , making you no better off than what you started out with.

The best way to lose weight , and this is from my own personal experience is by going for a calorie shifting diet like the one described here:

www.simplefatloss4idiots.info

This type of diet simply teaches you to eat the right things at the right time of the day , and your body will burn off those calories faster and more efficiently than before. The great thing about this diet is that you can still eat 3 or 4 meals a day , so you wont be craving for food all day long.

I've lost almost 9 stone with this method , and its the only diet i can truelly say has worked for me... and my bingo wings are finally gone , thank god!
