Cambridge diet
Hi everyone. I've just registered to start the Cambridge Diet diet myself. I'm a fella, age 22, and need to lose about 3 stone. I'm pretty nervous about the whole thing as I know I lack willpower as much as the next person, but thought I'd give it a go, and by the reviews it's very effective.
Whilst I don't mean to shamelessly plug my own site too much, I've decided to track my progress and thoughts on the diet on my blog which can be found on alpds.com/tjd. I'm gonna post pics too, which I'm bloody nervous about!
Thanks, and good luck to anyone else that's considering this diet. It's not easy.

Hi Nicci
My names Jill, Im 29, 15st 7lb and going to my 1st meeting tomorrow night to join the cambridge diet for the 1st time, i'm really motivated and looking forward to it as i have my 30th bday party in 7 weeks and need to get off as much wieght as i can.
Have you done the CD before?
The only hesitation i have is that my councellor is a man! and i dont really know how i feel about a man weighing me evey week lol, i'll let you know how i get on, my appointment is at 8.30pm so i'll come on and see how you are doing!

Hi Jill,
i replied earlier but for some reason my message hasnt shown up on here???
Its great to hear from you! I had my official weigh in tonight and i was 11 stone 6 and 3/4 pound. Im hoping to lose around 3 stone 8 pound and get to my goal weight of 7 stone 12 pound in the next 11 weeks in time for my 23rd birthday i november.
Good luck with your first meeting tomorrow, im sure your counsillor will be lovely even if he is a man lol

1st day
Hi Nicci,
How are you getting on?
This has been my 1st day and i must admit i've found it quite difficult, had a terrible headache too, ive just had my soup for dinner and am feeling quite tired so think i'll have an early night.

Day 3
Hi Jill,
Good to sse you've started . Im on day 3 now and i found the first couple of days quite easy (although i did nap quite a bit haha) but today has been absolute torture. Everyone says once you get past day 3 it will be okay so i can't wait to wake up tomorrow morning and find today is over. Day 2 - 3

i found yesterday (day 2) really easy until i went to my friends 18th birthday party last night and had to stay sober! it wasnt too bad actually, but its strange for me to go on nights out and not drink anything other than water.
Today has been okish... i've felt a bit shaky from time to time and tired, altho thats more to do with only having 5 hours sleep last night lol - think i'll go for a little nap, i'm off out again to an engagement party tonight and will be driving again lol.
I'm counting down the days till wednesday when i do my 1st wiegh in.
I'm glad your doing well and finding it quite easy, they do say the 1st few days are torture, it just feels like everyones eating but you...i dont feel hungry, just concious of the fact i havent eaten any food for 3 days, but im sure it will be worth it!
Have you did this diet before?

Day 5
Hi Jill,
Ive had a really hard couple of days to be honest. Yesterday was absolute torture i waas so hungry i couldve killed someone lol. I went out shopping for the day to take my mind off the diet and the amount of food places there was was phenomenal, the smells were driving my taste buds insane. Ive managed to get through it though and when i woke up today found i had got my TOTM very early, which is quite common apparently on this diet. Hoping thats why i had such a hard time of it yesterday and today will be better. Its not so bad at the minute but after 6pm is my danger point.
I tried the cambridge diet awhile back but i wasnt ready for the strictness of it, i needed to break my addiction with food before i could start it again, that is how i came to lose 2stone 4lb before i started this diet by restricting my eating/bingeing as best i could. I feel ive finally got a hold of my overeating now and thats why ive gave cambridge another bash. I only did 5 days last time. I am in a completely different place mentally this time round and know i can do this.
I weighed in with my counsillor on a monday night when i started althought didnt actually start diet until tuesday but i will stick to monday nights for my weigh in. I really cant wait to see how much ive lost!

Day 4
Hi Nicci,
I'm now on day 4 and not feeling quite as hungry now, just concious of the fact i havent eaten anything.
Its a nightmare with all the food places isnt it, i am married with 3 kids and have had to endure my husband cooking a full sunday roast today without being allowed any, its HELL!! lol but i know it will be worth it and didnt want to have some to spoil the hard work i've put in so far!
i bet you will have lost loads on monday! - i know what you mean about having to be in the right place mentally to do this diet, the 1st few days made me feel really miserable, but i think its getting better lol

Day 7
Hi Jill,
Ive made it to day 7 and weigh in day
How are you doing today? I was fine all day yesterday and then around 11pm i made my boyfriend, morrocan lamb chops, mexican rice and chunky chips it was so hard to resist! I couldnt stop thinking about food after that and stayed awake til about 3am thinking non stop of what ide like to eat (couldnt stop myself). To be honest i cant stop thinking about it now either I can't give up though, i can feel the difference in my body and clothes already and feel so much better about myself. The thing i miss is the taste of food rather than actually being full/ feeling hunger. I weigh in at about 6pm tonight so ill let you know how it goes.

Day 7 - been wieghed!!!!
Hi Nicci!!
Just back from being weighed and couldnt wait to come on and tell you my result!! .... i lost 8.5LBS!!! i'm so excited and over joyed!!
I feel on top of the world and so proud of myself for managing to get through the 1st week, which im sure must be the hardest!
How are you doing? i hope your managing ok and are still feeling pround of yourself for your great result too!
i now weigh 14st 13lb and am so pleased as this is the lightest i have been in 4 years, at my heaviest i was 18st 4lb so i feel like ive come a long way but still a long way to go till my goal of between 9 and a half or 10 stone, im going to wait and see how i feel at the time.

Day 9

Thank you so much for your comments, i really feel like you spur me on! we're both doing really well!
I found it really difficult last night and ended up having a sandwich, choc biscuit and pkt of walkers!!! i felt crap but they tatsed amazing!! lol
Went to bed last night feeling like a lousy looser lol but weighed myself this morning and i was the same and then again tonight after last shake and scales said 14st 10lb so i think ive gotten away with it and also lost 2lbs lol
Im really going at it 100% now as my bday party is 6 weeks away and dress still doesnt fit!
Anyway hope your doing well and start a fresh tommorrow, i always find the weekends the hardest but i know we can do it!
