Hey,
I am starting mine on Tuesday.
I am also going on the weightwatchers diet in order to loose 3 stones. Like you i also started it before but gave up when my fiance and i moved house.
I want to start doing some excersize aswell (as at the moment all i do is walk to work (which is 10 mins away) and back) HOWEVER we are getting a puppy in March so hopefully she will help me walk it off aswell.

Trying
I really need to eliminate something like 4 stones before july. of course I will only manage it if I start dieting but lately with so many bdays at work, it has been quite impossible really. So annoying

Starting diet too
Hi - we were both online the other night in the chat room but my computer kept locking me out - sorry I just disappeared! I'm starting a diet tomorrow (thought I'd get the weekend out of the way first!) I've got a bit more than you to lose (5 and a half stones ideally) but I'm truly dreadful at it! I want my husband to lose some this time too so maybe that will help me to keep on track. I'd love to hear how you're doing (and just maybe be shamed into doing better myself!) love to hear from you soon

New year resolution to lose weight
I have dieted off and on for the last 35years. I have lost weight a number of times and then put it back on plus more. For the last 2weeks I have been reading Paul McKenna's book and I have lost 6ibs without reallt trying. Has anyone else tried his methods?Iam new to this board and this is my first post

Jumping up and down!
Ooo Ooo Ooo - losing weight without trying - that sounds too good to be true! Do let us know if it continues. I must admit I have seen his tapes but they are quite pricey and the cynic in me just couldn't believe that they could work - I'm always willing to be proved wrong though. I would welcome you to the forum but I'd feel a bit of a fraud seeing as this is only my second post! We'll just have to be newbies together. Looking forward to hearing from Laa after Friday - I've got off to a really bad start - thought I'd eaten all of the Chrissy Choccy but hubby's just found another box in the garage (ho hum. It's my biggest weakness)Maybe a miracle will happen before I weigh myself again on Monday (like my leg falling off and causing me to lose 2 stones!)
Keep well

New year resolution
Hi bakewelltart, Thanks for the welcome. I bought 1 book and CD (2007) Version plus a 90 day journal for around £14 from a well known internet book company. I ordered them on 1st Jan and received them on the 3rd. Very good service.I have listened to the CD every day although I was very sceptical.I have however found it very interesting. He has got 1 thing right. I must have a better relationship with food. For years I have not enjoyed my food but continued to eat for Scotland and then felt guilty about it.I have not weighed myself again because he recommends not weighing yourself for fortnight. I used to weigh myself every day hoping for a miracle!I have been diagnosed with gallstones and have to have my gallbladder removed so I have to get my weight down. Ideally I would like to lose 7stones so its not going to be a quick fix. All the best

Anyone losing?
Hi there - how's everyone doing?
Just wanted to let you all know I've lost 2 pounds - not much but it all counts. Not quite sure how I've done it though - at least I've finished all the Christmas chocolate now so maybe progress will be a bit faster. I have to say it's not easy when you make cakes for a living though!!

New year resolution
Hi Bakewell Tart, Well done1 Its very difficult to lose weight when your work involves cooking. When I am on shift I have to cook for up to 12 people. Today that involved breakfast and lunch.I have lost a further 4 pounds. I really can't understand it. I have eating really well and I am not hungry.I am listening to the CD every day but I honestly can't remember what is on it. At the moment I don't care. Its working for me at the moment and I am going to make the most of it.Best of luck especially as all the Xmas Choc is now finished. I am not a fan of chocolate except a small piece with my coffee but I love savouries.Tomorrow night I am involved in the caterikng for approx. 60 people for a Burns Supper.Maybe I should listen to my CD twice!!!

Thanks for the giggle
Hi girlies
I was having a giggle at wanttobeslim having to listen to her CD twice before Burns Night....and thinking about haggis...yum!
I'm really pleased this is working for you - doesn't matter how as long as it is.
La232 - as they say "Tomorrow is another day" and as such approach it with a clean slate - that's what I'm telling myself having failed to lose any more (obviously found things other than the chocolate to pig out on!)
This time next year......
Love to both - and don't sweat it!

Made it through burns night
Hi Made it through Burns night. Enjoyed a small portion of haggis and lots of turnip. Skipped the mash and didn't miss it! Even managed to stay away from the shortbread. However its Pancake Day on Tuesday. We make a big thing of it with races etc. Will be a difficult day for me. I can't normally resist hot freshly made pancakes. I think I'll need more than my CD that day. Paul McKenna tells you to keep a picture of yourself in your head when you were happy with your body.He tells you to bring that image forward to give you a reason not to overeat. I will try that.I am going on holiday at the end of May and do not want to look like a beached whale.May be I should bring that image forward instead!Anyway Wednesday is always another day. Although I believe Wednesday is Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. Time for giving up treats.Anyway best of luck Bakewell Tart and La232.
