Long newbie post, grab whatever you're allowed to eat/drink & settle down

Firstly, Hello all! - Ive read through so many of your posts tonight I feel Im in great company!

Im 36 & for most of my life I was a steady 9st10 (worked full time with horses) even after having my two kids I ended up at the other end of the spectrum weighing just under 8st - far too skinny for my 5' 7 height (Im not a silphlike person either, Im the broad shoulder swimmer type) - however, over the past three "single" years - whilst being far happier in myself (battled & beat a few mental demons of worthlessness, low esteem etc & finally seeing the person my friends see), I got a ** liiiiitle ** too complacent in the "I love me as I am" train of thought & whapped on over 2stone (Plus my horse who was my exercise was in foal so I havent ridden regularly for well over a year & I bascially got lazy)

Im currently fluctuating between 12st 2 & 12st 8lbs, have a huge wobble round the tummy area that an industrial Dyson wouldnt shift. Ive gone from a size 10/12 to a 14 (ok, ok, ok, so sometimes even that's tight) I dont have a huge appetite, I dont normally eat sweets/chocolate/crisp but there is no getting away from the fact I am overweight, fat, wobbly & not very impressed with myself. Ive been to see my Dr. since I can (honestly) put on 10lbs in a day, - I know - only my mother believes me since she can literally see my bloat appearing over a family dinner at their house. Now this may be too much info for a first post, but I dont poo often either & never have. Unless Ive had alcohol the night before, I "go" around every two-three days, which I know is not normal. Ive suffered from Chrons in the past (the under 8st part in 2003) which may have some bearing on this - I dont know.

Im single, self employed, work from home & often just dont eat - although drink far too much coffee, work too late, until the kids head to bed when I realise Im hungry then tuck into Lasagne, or something equally as stodgy. Id like a diet along the lines of the Lemon/Maple detox which would give me a fast initial result, hopefully spurring me on to taking more care of my health & a more balanced daily food intake, & wake up to the realisation that "this did happen to me - I did end up like this"

I love fish, read meat, (mashed potatoe with mayo & black pepper,....god this is going to be hard isnt it?..) but although I love fruits I have an allergic reaction to those high in potassium (end up with lips like a puffer fish) - Im not keep on the good 'ol veggies, but my biggest vice is alcohol, I love a vodka & tonic (gave up the wine several months ago) although limit myself to whichever weekend night the eldest doesnt have rugby the next day! I muck out my horses every day, drag them in from the field, & walk the dog around 4miles when Im being a good girl, (which over the kids summer hols was *not* often - how come the dog stayed slim? - maybe there is a "pigs ear & bonio" diet out there)...

Im open to all advice, Id like to get back to around 10st, & just like to lessen the daily mountain of "that doesnt fit " on my bed & remove the strategically placed dressing gown hiding my full length mirror.

So, c'mon guys if you still have the will to live after reading all this, Id love to hear from you!
Thanks in advance, scotia
