Sorry milkshake diets dont work
Not like me to do this but going to put my views forward on this. Milkshakes as a substitute meal or as part of a diet program don't work, not long term anyway. I tried loads of milkshake diets, like the Cambridge one. But found them to be impractical and usually result in adding more weight on when coming off the expensive milkshakes. Should try some of the diets like the f diet... www.thefdiet.com Has anyone else tried this one.. I think its great.

Me too!!!
In that i'm starting tomorrow too! It would be great to have a buddy to share the pain!!! No! correct that...they joy of getting into nice summer clothes again. I'm currently 11 stone 3 and i should really be around 9 1/2 stone. Gearing myself up for tomorrow. Water water water!!!! Would be great if anyone wanted to chat to me while i'm doing it. I'm Vicky!

hi ive bin on the ss program now for 5 days and have lost 12lbs its hard going bt if u want it enought u will do it gud luck hun ull be fine and there is no bette fealing in the world as wen u get ur weigh in a nd have lost sum weight x

I've just started today. How are you getting along? I'm hoping this will be the answer - I always get fed up with Weight Watchers after a few weeks as the weight loss is so slow. I'm hoping the stricter regime will mean I avoid my impulse to overeat!

Cambridge diet
im on the same diet its been nearly 2 weeks the last time i went 2 get weighed i lost eight pounds n im goin again on tuesday but ive cheated a bit so im a bit worried,its hard the first week but u will be ok 2nd week u just want 2 nibble its horrible you feel so bad after that i had some rice n then done 200 skips n went on the stepper for half hour so i must of burnt it off

Headaches and hunger
Hey fellow dieters,
i started the diet yesterday too.. and i have found it so hard today, i have had a stonking headache all day ... and just miss the taste of food, and something solid to eat and umm i love food... but never the less i will continue to diet.
im currently 12 stone 1o pounds and hope to get down to atleast 9 stone.
i hae been inspired by some of the comments and feedback people have left about their weight lossess, and this has inspired me to get shaking.
anybody who would like to buddy up feel free to let me know... happy dieting. .

i started a new soup diet and it is giving me headache to .to the stage i want to give it up i lovemy food i am doing weight watchers one week and the soup the following but where i nreed to lose a lot of weight i am not sure about the soup diet please help lolol lisa

hi courtney, started diet on monday and it's been ok so far. apparently 4th day is tough so not looking forward to that. would love to hear how you and anyone else out there is doing on this diet. will let you know how much i lose in 1st week, i need to lose about 6-8 stone so it's gonna be tough.

1st day
Hello Courtney,
I'm just abt to start tomorrow as well. How much do u have to lose? Im now abt 13.8 stones and I would love to lose 3 stones or 2 and a half 
I have done it once before and it so works. Forts 4 weeks on sole source is the easiest. Then when u r allowed to eat a meal a day is hard as u miss food so much that u might eat more than its allowed so be very carefull in ur 5th week!!! drink loads of water coz otherwise u might feel sick or dizzy. Dont over work yourself at the gym (swimming few times a week is wicked or even just walking).
Im so scared and im excited as well. Last time ive lost enough waight but ive put it all back. Hopefully this time will be different )

Wow this is tough!
hi... today is my first day of cambridge and i am finding it really tough. i had my cappucino shake in the morning which was yummy, then i had a bout 2 litres of water by lunchtime and had a spicy tomato "soup" at work which made me feel really nauseous - i forced it down but won't be having that flavour again. i had drank about 3 litres of water by the end of my work day, but still felt really light headed. i has a rest when i got home and have just had a chocolate shake, which was yummy as well. still really hungry though, and feel really weak. is anyone else worried about this feeling or the medical reports that state that lean tissue loss can include degeneration of the heart which can lead to cardiac arrest? just curious and a bit worried as i've been trying to read up on the whole thing... have 8 stone to lose so i am eager for this to work, but am worried that i might get ill in the process. any thoughts?? (i posted this message in an old thread too - oops!)

Problem with cambridge
I started the diet on 4th Feb - I decided on Sole Source and it was ok - felt hungry for a few days drank loads of water and although I had headaches I drank black coffee and they went. In the 1st week i lost half a stone and was really happy - The only problem I have had is that I was constipated - Spoke to my councillor and she advised taking the fibre powder which I did - but that never worked - to cut a long story short - I have tried laxatives and ended up in a and e tonight - I was in so much pain - so be warned - going to go back on it soon but doctor advised a week off to get "regular again" - I have never suffered with constipation before

im really sorry to hear about your experience. Surely it must make you realise that this is NOT a healthy way to lose weight? Losing half a stone in a week is not maintainable and anything which causes you to be constipated is not good, your body is telling you that...listen to it!
I have looked at the ingredients in the cambridge diet bars etc and it shocked me! they are full of chemicals and names i cant even pronounce! I understand that when you want to lose weight you will try anything ( i have been there) but really the only way to lose weight FOR GOOD as well as helping any digestive issues you might have (instead of creating new ones) is to eat wholesome nutritous food in abundance, do plenty of walking and address any emotional issues you have. we are complete beings: spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and nutritionally Always ONLY focussing on food will never bring the results you want.

I'm on day 3 and finding it very tough, have cheated alot though! I've lost 4 pounds, god knows how! I've been told that you can only do sole source for a certain ammount of time and then do "have a meal" week, any longer time will start to melt away muscle. Aslong as you don't do the sole source for longer than it says to apparently your fine. I may be wrong but that's what my counsellor said.

its my 1st day today. I already had fruits of the forest and feel fine. Trying to drink all the time water. I had a meeting today and i was just passing cantine (loads of good food,mash potatoes, salmon etc. that smell kills me but i can make it ) ive got a question: have u told ppl at work that u r doing the diet??? every day im going lunch to cantine at work with some ppl and we all have lunch and a chat. Obvieously today i wont be eating; what shall i tell them if they ask me y ????

think its up to you what you say but i think some people can be negative towards diets and you dont want to have to defend yourself.I personally would just say you arent hungry if they say anything and if they notice again maybe just tell them you are trying to cut back and explain you are on a meal replacement diet.
If you decide to tell them just stay positive and remember that you are doing this for you so dont feel bad about it .

Thanks a lot for your support... As you said , i think that ppl have always negative opinion abt the diet without even getting to know, what it really is and how it works. I find it very depressing, it really puts me down when i hear .."...that's stupid, why dont u just cut down the food and exercise...." but we all know that aint that easy....
howz ur diet going? what's the progress with you?
