Cambridge diet

Hello All,

My Name is Lucie and I am new on here!!

I begin the Cambridge diet on wednesday and am sooo looking forward to it!! My counsellor is around my age and we seem to have clicked she is a great inspiration as she has lost 5st 10lbs and kept it off for 2 years.

I am 26 and I have a fair bit of weight to lose (hence the name butterfly in progress!!) I know the diet is hard especially at first but I keep telling myself that my current diet is the hard part because I am so unhappy the Cambridge diet will be the easy bit as I become me again and find my figure and my confidence once more!!!!!!

Good luck to those who are on this diet...I will keep you posted on my progress....

Much Love
Lucie

How's it going

Hi Lucie,
Just wanted to say good luck for tomorrow and to see how you're getting on.
I got weighed yesterday and i lost another 5lbs.
Was really pleased. Am on add a meal week now so will be low loss next week. It's been weird eating and even though it's only a small amount I feel full afterwards. Stomach is feeling a little queasy having food in it and stuggled to have all 3 shakes and a meal.
Let us all know how you are doing.
Toni x

Excited!!

I see my counsellor at eight tonight....I can not wait!!!
Thankyou so much for taking the time to msg me and wish me luck it's really appreciated.
Hope you are doing ok on the diet, do you find it baffling that you can't manage the food and shakes???? I can't imagine my belly ever feeling queasy at having some food in it!!!

Much love
Lucie

How did you do?

Hi Lucie just wondered how you got on with your weigh in.
I'm a bit confused cos they've changed everything around on here!
It is weird to think I'm full on so little but that must be a good thing......right?
Just want to get this week over with so I can go back to sole source (never imagined I'd say that) at least I will stand a chance of losing a decent amount. I'm worried I won't lose anything this week or maybe even put some on as i'm having more calories. Oh blimey I'm starting to sound obsessed!!!!
Anyway let me know.
love Toni xx

Hello newbie

Hi Lucie,
I have been doing cd for nearly 4 weeks and it's great to come on here and speak to people going through the same experiences.
It can be quite tough but seeing the results is magical.
I have lost 15lbs in 3 weeks and am due to be weighed again on monday. People are already noticing my loss and today I bought a size 20 for the 1st time in 8 years ( started at a size 22/24 ) I almost cried in the changing room and have had a permanent smile fixed to my face today.
I will admit i haven't been perfect, I gave in to my carb craving and ate 2 ham rolls in my 3rd week but the guilt of doing that hang around for a while.
I wish you lots of luck for your transformation and if I can be of any help, get in touch x

Good luck

HI Lucie

I too started on Monday and the first few days were hard, but it seems to be ok at the moment although I have had moments where I have nearly eaten something, but didn't. I have 2 1/2 stones to lose so looking forward to the new me and being able to love myself again and definetly feel confident in clothes. Starting the gym again next week so that will help with my self esteem. Good luck and keep me posted how you're getting on.
