Hi, Been doing ww for last 18 months - lost 2.7lb slowly....need to move 2 more stone or thereabouts - been stuck for about 6 months 1/2 lb on then off....so decided to give cd a go and meeting a counsellor tonight to get going.......... any one want a buddy for daily contact?? Also, anyone got any advice for how to handle (realistically) socialising whilst on cd...am going camping with kiddies (3) and friends (diet sabboteurs!) - shall I pretend to feel iffy when the food comes out - or just silently nibble a carrot stick.... I cant keep putting it off as theres always something why not to start.... anybody out there???

whoops pressed the button too quickly. I had loads of negatives, oh you won't stick to it etc to be quite honest that was like red rag to a bull. Now who's eating their words!!!.....it is quite anti social but I did go to Florida and still managed to loose 4lb and my counselor was really impressed, I did go out to dinner and I had a few gin and tonics. Maybe have a word with you counselor and come up with some sort of plan for you during this time. Barbecue chicken and lots of salad whilst you're away and sole souce when you get back. Good luck

i've found it's easiest to be upfront with everyone. all my workmates and friends know and are generally nice about it. most people initially make negative comments about it like "it won't work" or "you won't stick to it", but after losing about a stone in the first two weeks they tend to quieten down.

i've found the only motivation is the fact that you do lose weight quickly. i lost 8lb over the first 2 or 3 days, but it's now slowed down to around 1/2 to 1lb per day - which is still amazing!

let me know how you're doing. )

Hi, i was wondering if u could tell me how much the cd diet actually costs, ive looked everywhere on the net, also called to spk to a counsellor in my area but she never got back!
"It's actually pretty cheap"

I pay £1.65 for the soups & shakes and £1.85 for the tetrabriks & bars. so 3 a day makes it around £38 per week. i usually have an extra half a soup per day as i often work 10 or 11 hour days.

i find this works out very cheap as you don't need to buy any other food, drink, snacks etc. and you don't need to pay any membership fees or anything.

i had to ring a couple of counsellors in my area before getting hold of one so keep trying.
