Size zero opinions please

Hi everyone

I am doing a project for university involving some anti size zero adverts and wanted some honest opinions for my research.

As a fashion lover, I understand the desire for thin girls to model clothes as the designers want their clothes to look as good as possible as with any other products.

I would like some honest opinions on what you think about the unhealthy looking thin models. Do you like to see clothes on these thinner girls? Is it all down to a fashion or craze? Do they really look good and what do they have that a healty size 8 or 10 for example has?

All opinions are greatly appreciated, thankyou very much x

Size 0

I'm pretty skinny - size 6 but can fit into a size 4 (size 0 US) - I AM NOT ANOREXIC. I don't aim to be a size 0, and I think that people starving themselves to get to that level is awful - especially for models who teenagers aspire to be like. However, I wouldn't say an bigger model would be that good either - I'd say size 8 would be perfect.

...

I hate the whole size zero thing. I am struggling with anorexia since over three years and I am not able to understand why people want ot look likee that. Well during the last year i recognized how I really look like when i watch in the morror *Thank good!* It is not healthy and not beautiful to have a size zero and it is scary that it seems to become normal to wear that size.

Hi

Hi,

I can not understand who wants to be a SIZE 0 its so yuk! all bones! I think its the worst thing these fashion designers have created. Its so unhealthy. Anyway all these clothes these top models parade I dont see the average women wearing! There is nothing wrong with being a size 8 to 16 or even more if your healthy.

Hi hopefuly i can be helpfull to you...

hey im only 17 and i model. so i speak from the inside of the modeling size perspective not just what people percieve from the outside. i am currently a size 8 although i am personally not happy with my size as i feel to big for my frame. when models are modeling they feel it their sduty to make the clothes look as amazing as possiable and if you have celulite, or wobbly bits on your body you feel like you dont deserve to be modeling the clothes and that they dont look good, which of course makes you slef concious there4 making the clothes look rubish!
there is no pressure on employees for you to slim down bcuz they simply wont hire you if they think you are too big .. makes sence!
its all about achievement, if you want to make it as a model every1 knows you have to have the perfect body! and yes while opinions of the word perfect changes globaly as far as fashion and modeling is concerned it means a few visable bones. to be perfectly ohnest i think that not every model has to look like they would get swept away with a light gust of wind but that doesnt mean that they are not a size zero ! before i even became a model i thought that if your bones pertruded a little bit that ment that you were a good size, if you couldnt see your bones in my mind you were over weight! sounds crazy to you maybe?
therefore i do like to see clothes on thinner girls as i think it will inspire people to slim down instead of the nation as a whole continuing to increase to a phenomenal size! which 2bh is Not at all an attractive sight when you see a obeese person!
i think it is alot better to see a size 0 girl on a catwalk that it is to see an 8 because then the clothes hang better on them and they look alot sexier.
hope i have been of some help to you
good luck

Size 10

I'm a normal size 10 I think this is fine......I have boobs and a bum.......when I go thinner I have neither and look like a ironing board!I have friends that is a size 6...she is obsessed with the way she looks, it takes her hours to get ready and she won't eat anything that's fattening, she goes to the gym for 3 hours a day! when I met her she was a size 10 and had a great figure!

I used to be Bulimic/Anorexic it was not nice!

If the media portrayed an image of healther size models and celebrities then I'm sure we would have a nation of healther women! not a nation with an ever increasing number of eating disorders.

We need to promote a healthy attitude to food and body!
