Yasmin gave me chloasma is cerazette the answer?

velop patches on my face, which I have since found out is Chloasma. I mentioned this to my doctor and she has prescribed me Cerazette instead of Yasmin.

I have a holiday coming up in 6 weeks time and I am very much looking forward to spending time in the sun - my doctor seems to think the the Oestrogen in the Yasmin is what was causing the Chloasma - could this be the case or will I still get discolouration even though I will be taking Cerazette?

If the Chloasma is unavoidable is there anything else I can take to stop the appearance of these patches other than avoiding the sunlight altogether?

Yasmin gave me chloasma too...

Just been to the doctor and he tells me that I have chloasma, probably caused by Yasmin, which I have been taking for about 9 years. The doctor suggested going on the mini-pill, as he said the oestrogen was causing the chloasma. He has prescribed me a whitening creme, which may take up to 6 months to work, and also suggests that I can pay for laser treatment privately if the creme does not work. Would be interested in finding out what treatments have worked for others.

Chloasma

I know this is a really old thread but I am in the same situation as you were when you wrote this. I have been on Cilest for about 10 years and have developed chloasma this year which is very prominant on my face and really getting me down.
My GP has prescribed Cerazette but I've done a bit of research on the net and found mostly bad feedback on it, I'm not sure whether to give it a try and wondered if you resolved your chloasma through this pill? Your feedback would be much appreciated!

Cerazette ok for me

HI there,

Just to let you know that I've been on Cerazette for a year and a half and have never had any problems! Everyone reacts differently so it might be worth a try!

Dont..

..Take Cerazette..
Many women have a lot of problems with it.
More than 90 % said said they got acne and they put on weight.
Ask your doctor about a birth control pill with few oestrogens.
Maybe it would help.

Sorry, my english is not so good..
