Anyone had / have the mirena?

Hi

couple of weeks ago I was in hospital to get treatment for my endometrosis and they inserted the mirena into my womb to help with my periods and hopefully stop the endometosis coming back. I don't know anyone who has used this form of contraceptive and would like to hear from anyone who has.

First merina was effective! but am i pregnant with my second?!!!

Hi ya! Im new to this site and have read some of the experiances that some of the girls have had with the merina and its alarming.This is my second one, had no trouble with the first that I had for over a year after having my son but took it out to have my daughter.There was slight discomfort during sex in certan positions but was effective. I have had this one for 18 months and have had no problems untill now. I think i might be pregnant!!! Im nearly two weeks late and have been feeling fluttering sensations in my tummy and tightenings also suffering from tiredness,fatigue and varied emotions. usually i wouldnt think twice about my symptoms but i have done two pregnancy tests and they were both negative. I dont really no what to do. The doctor said that it is unlikly and that it tricks your body so you cant get pregnant.but my periods have been normal and regular before now.What do you or anyone else think?

Worst experince iv ever had

All i can advise is find out all you can about it and if you think theirs ever a problem get it checked cos mine had to be removed through surgery and i was treated very badly and never taken serious when i went to them saying their was a problem.
