Mirena coil

Hi

Has anyone had one of these fitted and then had the most horrendous period after? The whole point on my having this fitted was to help with heavy, painful periods and yet I am now having the worst period ever with really bad stomach cramps that have gone on for days! I hate to moan but it is really getting me down. It would be great to hear if anyone else had this and whether it was worth it in the end. I just feel I have had enough and want it out already but or course GP surgery tells me not to be silly and to perserve. Easy to say I think but I have lots to get on with and this is holding me back. Any advice please!

Coil

I had a coil fitted years ago, I remember having heavy periods also. surely there's a pill that helps with heavy bleeding? Or can you not take the pill? Have you asked wether there is a medical reason why there heavy?
