Really painful peeing!!

Hi there,

I recently began seeing a new partner and after the first time we had sex without a condom I experienced severe discomfort whilst peeing which I thought was cystitis as we had had a lot of sex that weekend. Antibiotics did not clear it up and after being tested for everything at the GU clinic it was eventually found that I had bacterial vaginosis (and no STD's) which was treated very effectively with a five day course of antibiotics and pesseries.
Throughout this time my partner and I used condoms and all was well. I have just got back from visiting him (he lives away) and we once more had sex without condoms. I was experiencing a bit of pain because we had quite a lot of sex and he is rather well endowed.....but this pain has now progressed to a really bad burnning sensation when I pee. The pain is completely different to last time and does not feel bladder related but purely in my vagina. I am worried that perhaps I am allergic to his semen? Or perhaps I got a bit dry and this has hurt the lining of my vagina? If anyone has experienced anything similar and has any advice I would really appreciate it xx

Hi

you may hav a urinary tract infection (uti) this can often happen when you have just started or restarted having regular sex. if you go to the doctors they will ask for a urine sample and then may give you a course of antibiotics if it comes back positive. sorry if this is late and you have already found the cause.
let me no either which way.
amy
