Hpv

this year, my bf found out he had genital warts, he has them removed at a gum clinic every time one re-occurs, he has only slept with me and says that he caught the hpv virus from me... although i have not ever seen any warts on me could i have the hpv virus and could i have the vaccination??
please help mee xx

ive just had my smear results and i need to go an have checks apparently there is over 100 diffrent hpv virus's all are caused through sex most arnt bad things. why im telling u this is because u have not got warts it dont mean to say u have not got the hpv virus u could have had it years and most do clear up themselfs.

ring ur gp or nurse and have a smear done if u have not already or at least tell them about ur partner and see what they suggest. if he is being honest and he hasent been with anyone else then something is not right, but if he has had partners in the past he could of had it since then...

hope this helps a little i dint know much about it till i got my results back today and the change in my blood sells are more likely hvp just caused through having sexual intercorse...and it was explaining the hpv virus..

i have that same thought running through my head if he is being honest with me but im his first serious girlfriend an i dont know theres just something telling me he is being honest, and hopefully not me just being stupid! haha

i have tried to get a smear test done, but as theres no signs of me having hpv my gp has refused me twice now im going to phone again monday tho and explain further about my partner.

i will let u know... o and please dont think for one minute i was suggesting ur partner was lying i was just trying to say think of all posabilitys...but ya know if a proffesional has told him its hpv and from u i think that wrong because it can just be caused through having sex regular and if u are his one and only partner and his first it could just be that that has caused it...

any how i will let u know what they say to me.. but i think u should be able to demand a smear as im 33 and its only my second smear and im just hoping its not been left to late cos hpv if left can turn canceraus i think, well when reading the leaflet i got that wat it sounded like xx

no its ok that was the first thought that came to my mind when he told me. a nurse couldnt tell him where he had caught it from as it can take years for symptoms to show. she also said that theres a slight chance that if he hasnt caught it off me it could be the fact that he caught it from masterbatin if he had warts on his hand present.

thank u its worrying as i have also heard that it can turn cancerous but i have spoken to a nurse and she said there are around 40 different strands of teh hpv virus, a low risk strand will cause warts and a high risk strand can turn canerous thees just no way of telling which strand you have unless you actually have visable warts which i dont!!

i have spoken to my gp and he said he will give me a smear test when there are visalbe warts as im 20 and my 1st smear test should be when im 25 which i think is totally disgusting!
