Nuva ring first week

Hello,

I've just started Nuvaring, and it doesn't sit very deep which is why I would like to remove it during Intercourse. However it's only my first week on Nuvaring (I was on the pill before and follewed all the instructions for switching to nuvaring, eg. i put nuvaring in on the first day of my period), and I think I've read somewhere that during the first week you are not meant to to take it out (not even for the 3 hours as this would normally be the case). Is that true?
