Ever caught something from someone who said they were clean?

Hi everyone,

My name is Tom and I write real-life, human interest stories for women's magazines, specialising in health and relationship issues. I'm looking to talk to anyone to whom the above might have happened. These days everyone has to be so careful when thinking about their sexual health, but sometimes trusting that someone is telling you the truth can be a dangerous game. Do you have any experience of this, and advice to offer women in similar situations? Please do get in touch. I try to write pieces aimed at raising awareness about important issues and you could have the chance to help contribute to this. You would get paid for any contributions you make, and could get your picture in the press. All issues will be handled with absolute sensitivity and confidentiality.

Please feel free to e-mail me at tomtooth.features@yahoo.com.

Response to: ever caught something from someone who said they were clean?

hi tom ,well i haven't caught anything from anybody but i can relate to that statement.I ended up in a situation where i trusted the person that i was with believing that they themselves were free from any STI's.this was my very first relationship,it just happened that he had to have some test done for work and found out he had chlamydia,i on the other hand did not contract it, i was told because this was my first partner that may of been the reason y i didn't contract it god knows .my partner didn't know he had it,it could of been a lot worst than that but it wasn't.
i would advice any body no matter how much trust there is i would ask them to get tested because sometimes they themselves dont even know they have it ,until then condoms.never live your life in the hands of somebody else because at the end of the day you're the one suffering the consequences.

The worse group for risk is the over 50's. My partner of 55 had two affairs maybe more nad nver ysed anything and seemed as if she did not care when the risks were poinyed out. Maybe for this age group the use of condoms was rare with the pill doing the job. Also over 50' men have erectile problems often and trying to get that one and stay up, might as well pass. There is little regard for STI's for the over 50's.
A friend told me a recent tale of being called to the Warden controlled home with regard to his 77 year okd Father-in-Law, Getting there the chap was in his room happy and content. On seeing the manager he was told that a female cleaner had been letting a number of the old chaps have sex for £10 a time and they had to clean their own room - luckily she had nothing more than crabs?
