Adverse side effects of oral contraceptives

Hi everyone,
I came off the pill about a year ago due to the awful side effects (depression, anger, headaches) and have since been using a diaphragm.
At the time I was suffering and wondering whether anyone else had the same experiences, I searched all over the internet in forums like this and was amazed at how many women felt the same as me.
On the other hand, there was almost no easily available scientific research on the subject, so I decided to do some investigation and put together a summary of the studies I found.
