hi, i wanted to get some peoples experiences with the coil contraception (non hormonal type) im unable to use hormonal contraception n me n my boyf arnt fans on condoms, the coil is my only option but it sounds pretty scary... can anyone share there experiences with it...?

i had the marina coil and my strings were quiet long , i asked my bf if he felt them and he couldnt feel them at all,i ened up having it removed due to cramps and later found i still got cramps , in the end up i was suffering from stomach spasms and nothing to do with the coil,id have to say i think the coil is a good opition.

I have had the coil for 5 years just had it removed and the non hormone one put back in i find it really good never had a problem didnt hurt getting put in if u relax its fine, not to sound like a tart but i have had a few partners and none complained about feeling the strings and 2 were well endowed so would of found the end of the stings no probs lol, think its a matter of personal choice i find its best for me

He will be able to feel it, and it can irritate the end of his penis. I have the coil fitted as i dont like to use condoms with my partner and any pills with hormones in them make me go crazy. The coil does pt my partner off sex and it hurts when its inserted too. If the strings are too long he can feel it lots and if the strings are too short it can scratch him, so make sure ur doctor cuts them at a reasonable lengh.

i think this is a load of rubbish as long as the string is cut short there wont be any problems. some men will just say they can feel it cos they dont like the sound of it. i've had the coil for years now and never had any problems.
