Yes and No It all depends on you how you were brought up and your current environment. I believe if you were brought up with a strong self image, I doubt that you would easily be affected by beauty advertisements. But if you were brought up with a negative self image, it would be very easy for you to be affected by these adverts. And a negative self image coupled with an environment that goes with the trend, usually result in a negative body image.
