"I really need some advice"
Posted by ivorybecks 14 July  at  21:48

Hi,
I was browsing the net for some advice and stumbled upon this site so I thought Id post.

The problem I'm having is my boyfriend is currently extremely depressed and I'm the person he comes to when he needs to talk, i don't not have any problem with this but i have no idea how i can help him.

I've told him he needs help from the doctor but he still hasn't gone, I'm just wondering if theres anything i can do or anything i can say to help him through this difficult time?

its got to the point where he admitted to me hes thought about suicide and now I'm in bits worrying about him.

Any help or advice would be fantastic so thanks in advance and thanks also for taking the time to read this.

I advice you to look into www.mamaherb.com When I go through this site, I find details about this disease along with its cure and the ingredients used are mostly present at our home. We sometimes ignore our health and avoid going to the doctor. But, once you visit the site, you really find so many treatments for depression and there is no harm by taking these home remedies

hi, im vix and i've been really depressed in my life, well like everyday, im only 14 but i do often think of suicide to get out of my nightmare of a life, i self harm everyday and need someone to turn to, if he is thinking about suicide you need to try and discuss this with him, and try to show him the things he wont be able to do if he did commit suicide, ask a family member, a friend, someone who you can trust, even go to a doctor and ask for advice there, i wish you and your boyfriend the best of luck and hopefully he can get better and maybe one day i might too.
vix xx

yes having you to talk to is good but you are right he needs to see a doctor...dont mess around with this - when suicide is mentioned take it seriously - make an appointment for him at a doctors and gather whatever re-inforcement you need to get him there - he may react angrily or with apathy or just try to play it down...dont take no for an answer - its not worth the risk...i just caught up with a bunch of old friends for all the wrong reasons a few weeks ago...nobody thought this fella would ever commit suicide...so do it ok?? even if he does get cranky... good luck xx
"Thanks"

First thing tomorrow I'm going to make him an appointment, I have a feeling he will reuse to go so today I was very sneaky and got his mums phone number out of his mobile. If he wont come with me I will ring her , I know he will definitely listen to her if not me.

Gosh, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I will definitely not take it lightly. Having someone to give me some advice on the matters really helped me, I didn't really know where to turn so really thank you.

I know how he feels - i dont know how serious your bf's condition is, but ive thought about suicide quite a few times, however it doesnt necessarily mean im going to carry it through. (im not saying this AT ALL to downsize your worry in any way)

the very fact that he has told you this means he trusts you immensly and feels you can deal with it, well done for being so strong.

i have only managed to tell my therapist about my thoughts of suicide, so by telling someone he is close to it shows that he has plucked up a lot of courage.

i hope your plan goes well and good luck. i hope he feels better soon.
