Hope this helps

Just came across your question. Hope the following information helps.

The leading money advice charity Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) https://cccs.money.uk.msn.com/DebtRemedy/(S(cclazl45vgctvk2zlvkkku55))/midway/msn-money/msn-start.aspx and entitledto.com allows you to enter your financial information to determine any benefit entitlement you are failing to claim, as well as providing advice on other ways to improve your situation. The advice is personal, customised and is provided immediately and free of charge - all without you having to identify who you are.

If you havent worked through the eligibility period (please read the following page for clarification http://www.dwp.gov.uk/publications/specialist-guides/technical-guidance/ni17a-a-guide-to-maternity/maternity-allowance-ma/#maelig) you dont get anything till the 29th week, then if you have no other income you may qualify for Income Support. You get Statutory Maternity Pay if you work, Maternity Allowance if you dont - but you have to qualify (i.e. paid tax and NI )

0845 608 895 Direct number for maternity section of job centre plus - not tested

Remember all mothers-to-be and new mothers (of babies up to a year old) are entitled to free dental care and prescriptions, ask your midwife for an exemption certificate, after which ask your Doctor to prescribe those folic acid supplements 0.4 mg (400 mcg) per day.

Furthermore everyone is entitled to the HiP at 25 weeks (£190) but if you are still on benefits by 29 weeks you can apply for a Sure Start grant too which is £500.

I dont know anymore than this - all the best
