Lemon detox diet

Hi everyone...
This is my first time doing a detox, and I want to make sure I stick to it. Hopefully posting my progress will keep me motivated.
I'm 61.7kg (135.7pounds), and 170cm (5'7"). Technically I'm in the normal range of BMI but I have put on a lot of weight recently and must lose it.

THE PLAN

Apparently it is good to do the colon cleanse diet first for a couple days:
"Take 1 teaspoon of sea salt or Epson ingestible salt and add it to a 24 ounce glass of warm purified water and drink it immediately. Do this when you are going to be near a bathroom for an extended period of time, for it is quite fast acting. If this is not too uncomfortable, drink two glasses of this colon cleanse recipe, one glass in the morning and one at bedtime."

Followed by the Lemon detox diet for 3-14 days:
The lemon detox diet recipe is as follows: 2 tablespoons of fresh squeezed lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of natural maple syrup, 1/10 teaspoon cayenne pepper powder, and 10 ounces of pure water. Drink a minimum of 60 ounces of this a day. Drink plenty of water and drink your colon cleanse drink at least once a day but no more than twice a day.

I started on SUNDAY morning. Weighing 61.7kg.
The salt water tasted and felt (because there is so much of it) pretty bad, but I could handle it. By lunch time I was in the mood to make food so it was hard to deny myself. Everytime I felt like caving in (seeing my flat mate prepare his food, etc) I felt my newly formed flab and was able to resist.

MONDAY morning. 61.3kg.
I had nightmares all night of me accidentally breaking my detox diet (somehow buying and eating food without realising it!). It was great to wake up and realise that it was a dream. And that I hadn't failed ANOTHER diet. More salt water. More cravings (no really for sugar -- my HUGE weakness -- but for anything fried and salty). Although I don't feel that hungry technically, I really miss the comfort of eating. It feels like I've lost a good friend, and now I don't have anyone to hang out with. I'm feeling incredibly tired (not sure if it's low blood sugar, or bad sleep because of my dieting nightmares, or a combination).

Will keep you posted on my progress tomorrow. I'll be starting the actual lemon detox diet. I WANT TO SUCCEED SO BADLY! Even if I last 3 days with the lemon detox I'll be proud, but I'd be ecstatic if I can last the whole 14 days.

Bye for now!

Thank you iambridget, i've been doing the stupid diet wrong! Just been drinking the maple syrup water with lemon and cayenne pepper
Found it hard to get details about the salt water so figured I didn't need to drink it...bummer! I'm on Day 3 aswell and it has been soooooo hard! So depressed think i'm gona just eat today and start again tom.

Shelley I'm using organic Maple Syrup Grade C, read a few peoples blogs who have used it and it has worked, however if you wana use the real stuff i've seen it in several health shops. Holland and Barratt in Stratford stock it so im sure other branches do as well. It's just sooo expensive!

Gona start my diet AGAIN tom.... hope u guys cont to log ur progress as I think it's important that we inspire and motivate each other. Good luck guys!
