Help cambridge diet starter

Like many others on this site I am starting my cambridge diet Monday 26th jan 2009. This is also last chance saloon!! I am 57 have had an underactive thyroid for 17yrs I take 175mg of thyroxine daily I have just been told that my colestrol level is high at over 7 I'm on HRT and quite honestly feel like I'm falling apart I've tried every diet going, so at 17st 8lbs at 5ft2ins i've got a long way to go, but I am determined. A lot of the posts I've read are from last year and wondered how much people have lost and kept off with this diet also with the same problems as me. if you can throw me a lifeline I would be very greatful

Healthy balanced diet

Hi I work with many clients to ensure they reach their healthy weight and advise on Nutrition:what to eat and when.
Exercise is needed to burn excess calories and my HIT Training guarantees to lose pounds dropping dress sizes.

Although I don't have any of the medical problems you do, I too started the Cambridge Diet very recently. Today (26/01/09) is my third day and so far I have found it pretty easy. Having said that I am aware that you have to be in the right frame of mind to do this and be very focused. But that's the same for any diet. As you have a focus you should find this easier bearing in mind that you're not doing this to be slimmer (alone) but for the sake of your health.

My friend encourage me to do this diet. She started the CD some months back. She lost 1/2 of her target and gave up but managed to maintain her loss because having done it she had a different mind set. Now she has refocused and back on the CD to complete her weight losss. I have 4st to lose. Last week I got myself into the "zone" by drinking as much water as was recommended on this diet and cutting back on my carbs. I measured myself before and when I measure myself this week was astonished to noticed that I'd actually lost and inch each from my hips and bust and 1/2inch from my waist ... all before starting the CD!!! If I can do that on my own I am looking forward to doing this and being a new me.

I think it could be vital to your progress to keep a diary or personal measurements. It is a real motivator for me.
