Girls, you're scaring me

Does the entire forum believe in celebrity fad diets? I'm so disappointed in you girls. Eating lemons and drinking pu erh for a week will make you lose a lot of weight - in water, stomach contents, and muscle - also completely wrecking your metabolism and getting rid of any fat. You'll get all the weight back as soon as you start eating normally.

There are known and proven ways of losing fat - like eating many small balanced meals a day (balanced means fat, protein, and complex carbs, not sugar like in fruits, and no artificial sweeteners), and a lot of moderate intensity cardio exercise. Why are you even trying those fad diets instead of just going for what's known to work since forever?

Say no to slow cardio!!

Sorry but u are wrong, lots of moderate intensity cardio will do nothing for weight loss and in my opinion is a waste of time. To lose fat use interval training and body weight excercises to shape. Interval training is the best method and u only need do it for say 15 mins three times a week, then do body weight exercises 3 times and follow a controlled calorie diet. Perhaps to step it up u could also follow eat stop eat as well, which uses intermitant fasting 1-2 times per week. I completely agree fad diets do not work and it is completely riduculous to follow a diet that makes u sick and encourages the binge-starve cycle. Hope this helps. If anyone would like more info on this just mail me.

Hey

Hi,

I feel you are right in your thoughts. Once Upon A time there was a life where there where not so many bad foods and people only ate meat fish veg and fruit !

Unfortunatly the world has changed so much and we have become larger. I feel everyone knows that fad diets dont work, but were all looking for that magic pll or that quick weight loss.

Fad diets

well, i totally disagree with diets like that, but i also know how utterly desperate some people get when they feel bad about themselves. they will try anything to lose weight, even if they know in their heart of hearts that its not the best way to do it. we all want quick fixes, and we all have the ''it wont happen to me'' way of thinking. we know this or that diet isnt really healthy, and if we just ate better and exercised more, it would come off eventually, but we think we'll just do it this time, and once we get to our target weight, we will be in a better place to eat healthily and not go back to where we were before.
losing weight is the hardest thing in the world, if you are trying to do it.
everyone needs support during tough challenges and life changes. x

No i dont believe
