Day 1 of the lemon detox diet (30th may)

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the website and have spent the last week reading all the posts on the diet and have been very impressed with the amount of determination and willpower you guys have demonstrated! So you can say that it was this that finally made me take the plunge and try it for myself.

I was waiting for all my ingredients which finally arrived yestarday so I ended last night with the recommended lax tea (which actually didn't taste at all bad)...I don't drink regular tea i'm a avid coffee drinker..I woke up this morning and it was like i was waiting for something to happen (psychological I know)...

So that brings me to today-which is day 1 of the detox and I am going for the 10 day stint, having never done this before I know it's going to take alot of determination but I'm ready ready as i'll ever be...

I will be posting a day by day account just to share my experience but also because I feel posting it all up will help me and give me strength so any words of encouragement advice motivation will be gladly welcomed...

Finally I weighed myself this morning, I am 5"3 and 7 Stone 1 Llbs, some of you (like my mates) may be thinking I don't need to lose weight, well your right but I gave up smoking and alcohol recently and so want to complete the detox in order to rid my body of all the crap toxins that have build up over the years. I've also suffered alittle IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) recently and have been told that this detox will be great for this also, eliminating all the toxins and getting the bowels moving again lol..

Right well that's alittle about me, i'm off out to enjoy the glorious sunshine, have a great day, see you all tonight!

Quick round up of day 1

Okay well feeling pretty good, haven't felt hungry at all today, didn't drink the salt water this morning but will do tommorow but managed to drink 9 glasses of the "lemon drink", I actually really like the taste and the syrup is lush!

Haven't felt tired at all, in fact just been on the phone to my mate who said that I sounded like I have so much energy and that's how I feel...but hey it's only day 1 so we shall see what happens tommorow...good start thou...

Going to sign off now and like everybody else i'm going to watch "Britains got talent" the result!

See you all tommorow x x

Ratio of the drink???

Sorry forgot to ask what is the ratio of the ingredients to make up the drink, I kind of know but if anyone has done this and can advise that would be fab, have made some this morning but just wanted to check!

Thanks very much guys! x

Day 2 of the lemon detox diet (31st may)

Okay well had a good day overall. Started today with the salt water flush, which in a word is "disgusting" omg i was nearly sick, it's going to be the hardest part of the detox, drinking that yukky drink! Then 2 hours later I was sat on the toilet and it all came "gushing out" to put it politely! Must have been on the toliet for a good hour or there abouts lol at least it's working. Then low and behold an hour after that I was right back there doing it all again...phew at least it isn't painful!

Went to do the weekly food shop and then made lunch for everyone, whilst I sipped my special drink, and i didn't even flinch, well proud of me. I am having withdrawals for my gingerbread lattes that I have twice a day but apart from that I haven't had any hunger pangs, been a good start. Most people have been saying day 2 and 3 are the worst so I guess i'm just waiting for my worst. On a positive note I find carrying a bottle around with me everywhere even around the house has really helped, it's like were attached to the hip, the only place it doesn't go is the bathroom!

Well back to work tommorow so defo no salt water flush in the morning lol it will have to be put on hold until the weekend, going to make my drinks in the mornings and take 2 Litres to work in a dark bottle so people don't ask questions, it looks so yukky and gross and I know people at work will want to know what it is..

So with that I am signing off, good luck to anyone else who is on the detox, it would be great to know how people are getting on...

See you tommorow at the end of day 3..x x

Day 3 of the lemon detox diet (1st june)

Okay well It's day 3 today and woke up with a headache (not a good start) but it did ease of come mid morning, I always take paracetamol when I have a headache but I managed to refrain from taking any yeay!

Had my cup of lax tea for breakfast and then went to work. Had an overall okay day, stomach was making strange growling noises in the afternoon and I did get a few minor hunger pangs which soon disapeared so I've felt pretty good. I am slightly concerned that I haven't eliminated any waste all day despite drinking the lax tea this morning, maybe the tea is not strong enough. I refuse to take the salt water whilst i'm at work, it's not an option, will take it at the weekend thou. I managed to drink my 8 glasses of my lemon drink, finding it quite hard to consume all of it so I end up guzzling down the remainder at the end of the evening.

So i'm still going and it'd day 4 tommorow, at work all day and staying later so should be an okay day, still waiting for the "painful" days...

Well off to bed, goodnight everyone!

Day 4 od the lemon detox diet (2nd june)

Cannot believe it's day 5 tommorow and i'm half way already! Been a bit of a strange day today, havent been able to drink as much of the lemon drink as I have previously, only managed 5 glasses today but hey at least i'm still going strong. Cooked tea for the family and wasn't even tempted even when i could smell fresh just baked bread and I normally love this!

Have had some hunger pangs today more so in the afternoon and my stomach felt alittle tight as if it was being squeezed. Apart from this and the constant growling and noises my stomachs been making it's been okay. Feeling tired now because had a long tiring day at work. Decided to take the salt water flush as soon as i got in from work as I was slightly concerned i hadn't eliminated any "waste" yestarday, and sure enough it all came gushing out half an hour later...Ooooh the relief! definately feel better after it, altho stomachs still growling..

Had my lax tea in the morning and because i had the salt water flush this evening i skipped the nightly lax tea, will drink again in the morning. Ok so day 5 tommorow, coming along well.

See you tommorow x

Hi

Hi I started the diet today. How are you now? Was days 5 onwards difficult? I work full time as a teacher so the salt water flush isnt an option for me either! Would be great to hear if its working for you? Also I do alot of exercise, are you too tired from the lack of cals to exercise?

S xx
