Going it alone on the cambridge diet!!
HI CAN YOU HELP I AM GOING THIS ALONE WITH OUT A GROUP I HAVE GOTTEN LOTS OF SATCHETS AND PORRIDGE BUT I AM UNSURE IF I CAN HAVE THE PORRIDGE OR NOT I AM JUST HAVING THE 3 SHAKES A DAY ON MY 2ND DAY AT PRESENT,
FEELING A LITTLE HUNGRY BUT NOT THINKING ABOUT THAT AS MUCH AS I AM ABOUT BEING SLIM, CYBER SHOPPING AT THE MO LOOKING AT ALL THE GORGEOUS DRESSES I WILL BE ABLE TO WEAR WHEN I GET TO MY TARGET!!
ANY WAY WHEN CAN I START HAVING THE PORRIDGE????
YESTERDAY I HAD DEFINETLY OVER FOUR LITRES OF WATER, ALWAYS DRINK A LOT OF WATER ANY WAY!! AND I HAD BLACK COFFEE WHICH I DON'T MIND BUT BLACK TEA IS REVOLTING UNLESS WEAK AND HOT!!!
I HAVE BEEN WEEING A LOT BUT I KNOW THAT IS WHAT I AM DRINKING AND THAT YOU ALWAYS LOSE WATER FIRST. I FEEL VERY FLUSHED AT THE MOMENT IN THE FACE, CHEEKS BURNING BUT I FEEL ALIVE IF THAT DOES NOT SOUND SILLY, I FEEL AWAKE AND ON THE BALL.
IF YOU COULD LET ME KNOW ABOUT THE PORRIDGE I WOULD BE GRATEFUL,
AND PLEASE NO BODY LECTURE ME ON NOT BEING WITH A GROUP I HAVE MY REASONS....!

Day 5 on the diet
Hi, my names paula.
I do believe that you are allowed the porridge. When i went to collect my sachets from my diet lady, she offered me the porridge along with the shakes and soups! Also my mother in-law is currently on her first week and she had a porridge the other day, didnt like it mind you, said it tastes of cardboard!
Iam finding the soups really discusting now. I am having a shake for breakfast and lunch, then a soup. For my second week i am doing away with soups, and getting mostly shakes, will try out the porridge aswell.
I am feeling good so far, first 2/3 days were worse. I too am looking at clothes i will buy if i get slim enough, haha.

Well done you, thanks for that info I have got lots of porridge and I do like porridge anyway so heres hoping!!
I have tried a few flavours, but I think they taste a bit salty, I keep asking my other half to have a sip. Don't particually like vanilla so been having that first with a spoonful of coffee in it!!!
The toffee and walnut is way nicer than it sounds, and the chocolate mint one stays with you for a while flavour wise that is!!, lol
I have also bought some products from thedietgirluk.com, and I have tried their peanut and choc bar tonight and I felt like I had broken my diet, it was so rich and filling that I went on the x trainer for 30 mins to pacify my self!!!
I hope you have had another good day, I am keeping my self occupied with the shoping on line and I keep checking out the hotel where I am going on holiday ....OH and I keep singing some of the lyrics out of Cheryl Coles new song..." Quitting is outta the question...."
It is not for ever we know what it tastes like and we will feel rubbish if we give in ....so just remember nothing tastes as good as being slim feels just like Rosemary Conley says... Best of luck and warm wishes Jo..x

well another day and i havent given in yet. I ven want to really, my minds so set on losing weight. i have weighed myself every morning and so far the scales are saying ive lost 7 lb. I started tuesday.
Got my appointment tomorrow to get diet lady and get weighed. Kids are on half term so will have to drag them with me!

GOOD LUCK FOR TODAY, got on the scales yesterday Sunday, showing between 4-5 1b started on thursday!!! T. O. M, too!!!
Hoping for big things by this thursday - did 1 hr on the xtrainer yesterday listening to UB40 - hips hurt a bit today, but I have got arthritis in them so that is to be expected and the norm for me.
Yesterday was a killer doing a roast for my little girl and husband, but I did not give in and felt very virtuous ,
Hop eit goes well with the kids off, and they don't drive you back to the naughty cupboard!!!
Just make a stew now and leave that cooking all day for tea!! make a pile of sarnies for their lunch and then just focus on you, cleaning all that can wait it only comes back KEEP at it you want it and it is yours if you just stay focused, I beleive you want to do it and therefore I think you WILL do it. go through the wardrobe and just bin the big stuff the oh that always comes back in handy stuff and then you have to keep going!!!!

congratulations for your weight loss!
Scales are showing that ive lost another pound this morning,i just hope my diet ladies scales say the same. seeing her at 11am.
Do you know, i actually am really enjoying preparing my familes meals. and even last night my husband said how nice it was. Think im making more of an effort, because im wanting to eat it so much! haha.
Its great chating to you, i feel i should tell a little more about myself. Im 28 in december, married last August. I have a 6 year old son and a 4 month old daughter and i live in kent. My daughter really keeps me busy all day, kind of comes in handy when doing this diet.
Where are you from f you dont mind me asking?

Good morning!
Well, went to get weighed and lost a slightly dissapointing 5ib. I had hoped to lose at least half a stone. i am feeling the difference in my clothes though, and the tape measure is showing i lost couple of inches off everywhere, mostly my bust.... the one place i really wouldnt mind keeping them!!!!
Im enjoying the apple porridge, however the choc bars are soooo bad that i had one bite and almost gagged, had to throw it away. I am "in the zone" and want to keep with it for as long as i can stomach it. Its so exciting losing weight each week.
However, my husband has told me he'd like me to stop after my second week as its too much money., with xmas round the corner, I dont know what im going to do.
Im thinking i may just get some slimfasts and have 2 a day then a very, very low calorie meal in the evening. The weight lose will slow down i know that, but do you think that would be okay?
I will still come and chat.
So enough bout me, hows you? you made me laugh when you said you had some chicken! I wouldnt worry, it wont do any harm. Its best to tell yourself you can have it if you want it than telling yourself its forbidden, cause you will just get down and moody and end up eating much worse things. so yes, allow yourself a little something now and again.
So you live on a farm? sounds interesting? I live in a terrace house down an ordenary street, haha!

I know how you feel but a whole 5 pound thats two bags of sugar, GO GIRL GO GIRL ,
What a shame that your hubby wants you to stop I know it costs abit but well what you are not buying food wise makes up your share and well if it makes you happy and every one else happy I am sure you can talk him round and the money will come from somewhere, do some maths for him today and show him where you are saving your money and what you don't need any more and poss just buy the items you would usually have for the kids and live out of the freezer for him!!! Thats all I am doing I stocked the freezer up from farm foods, I used to hate that place you know, what a snob, but now I love it good brands at good prices and no I don't work for them, lol ,
You have got to keep going and if he still says no don't do just try and do slimfast coz it won't work!!
You will be allowing your self to eat and that is the key for us, we need to take food out of the equation and be told what to eat and when to eat it!! I have tried slimfast paula and I was ill after two days I would not recommended it and I still have two tins of chocolate powder in the cupboard because it was 3 for 2 and I was determinded to do it. Threw away the open one when could not stick it any more and the other two have just gathered dust in the cupboard and are prob out of date!!
My little girl dropped the scales and they were the old dial type and they went haywire, so off I went to Argos and bought some digital ones!!!! G.U.T.T.E.D they added on another 3lbs so yesterday was awful it was my worsest day ever I felt dreadful I could of killed I ached all over the taste in my mouth was gross my jaws ached I was freezing and I tested to see for ketosis and was only in moderate arrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhh!!
I nearly gave in but I have got a pair of Dolce and Gabbana size 10 jeans hung up in my hallway right outside my bathroom and every time I pop for a pee I see them and it keeps me going!!
I wassssssss sssssssssooooooo hungry yesterday I could have eaten my own arm, but just drank a gallon of water and took it, watched loads of my fav programmes off the vision box and then went to bed!!
Feeling good today and had my shake Toffee and Walnut best flavour I have had yet and tastes better with an extra 2 floz of water too!!
I contacted a local cambridge diet lady yesterday and I am going to see her on sat am because I keep looking on ebay to buy the stuff and well you pay just as much and you don't really know what you are getting do you???
I hope you can keep at the diet because if you are in your 'zone' then now is the right time for you and I would be a shame to stop. We are close to christmas I know but if you give up now who knows when you will be ready to tackle it again, because it is not easy and I just wished I had not spent all my 30's big, I did all the diets I fasted for my wedding lost 2 and a bit stone had the dress slightly adjusted!!(bigger) and ended up with gallstones and had to have an op and then my then hubby said just stay as you are I am happy with you so I did but what I did not realise and what I did not say was .. " HANG ON A MINUTE I AM NOT HAPPY!!!" So on I plodded until one day I realised we were going nowhere every day was groundhog day and so I was brave and told him we had to shake up and GET A LIFE together or I was shipping out, he did not want to change our then life style and so I went on my own in to the big bad world and now I just wish I had done is sooner.
I hope you have a good day and try and find away to keep doing it because in the long run it will cost more you will get down and you WILL buy more food because you will buy "TREATS" and then you will sit and eat them in the evening on the sofa together all snug and feel good for a while and the next day boy it will hit you and you will be angy with yourself and that is the curse of beinging out of control.

Just wanted to share my achievement with you, an amazing 10lb first week weight loss I am staggered it is so easy to do but the side effects are horrid you just gotta stay focused and keep on with the water!!! Thats the secret, the water the more you can drink the better it is but you have to be care not to try and take too much on board at once, I try to drink a glass every 15 mins, I have one before my check and one after.
I don't know about you but my teeth feel awful, I think I brushed them about six times yesterday!!!
Feeling ok today, I how managed to find my wobbly times, 1 is around 2 o'clock and then around 4 and when I am making tea!!!! Once I have made it then I am ok again, also have you noticed how much more you seem to notice the smell of the food now and how good it smells???
I cooked my other half and children pizza and cheesy garlic bread yesterday, and boy that garlic bread smelt LUSH!!!!!!!!! I did not give in I was good and just had my shake and water.
Finding I want to go to bed earlier to and I am sleeping better all barr the getting up to go to the loo twice a night, could do with out that as my little girl was up the night before at 3 o'clock and this morining she was up at 5.30am!!!! I thought those days were over, lol.
How have you gotten on then are you still feeling positive about things?? Write and let me know I think it is really helpful having a slimming buddy and I was saying to my other half that when I loose the weight I think I would like to train to be a Cambridge Counsellor!!

I have lost 16lb in total so that is 19 days!!!! Yep still doing it had a minor blip at the weekend but got straight back on and now going to see a CDC as well so getting the right stuff and advice. Why not try and go online and do some research about lo carb eating, then that way you might still be in with a chance when you are not doing CD any more. Will write soon x

firstly congratulations for you weight loss, thats amazing and you deserve it!
well last time we spoke i was explaing how my hubby didnt want me to continue with it, well same story im affriad. i made 31st oct my last day on the diet. id lost about 10 ish pounds in total at that point i think.
the next day i ate normal low fat foods, and for the first 2 days boy, it was fantastic, now i feel down, depressed, fat and a mess. i wish i hadnt quit, id love to see how much more i would have lost by now. was in tears couple of days ago.
hubby still says cant afford it. didnt go for the slimfast idea as you are right, it dont work. healthy eating and excersize does work, however i cant get motivated to bloody excersize!!!!!
in a rut at the min, however i still have 1 week cambridge left and hubby said i can get another week on top of that, but its still only 2 weeks. if anything id like to go for it a full month, then have a little break over xmas (not to go mad, but enjoy myself if that makes sense) then come january, start up again, maybe then introducing an evening meal, that way it wont cost as much. haha.
sooooo, are you still going strong?? how much you lost now??? i havent been on scales since 31st oct as i know i will have put alot back on. im tempted though haha
