Help with what to eat...not sure

Hi to everyone
I'm new on here and I'm desparate to lose 3 stone in weight after putting in on over the last 5 yrs,i'm after some tips to change my eating habits for good not a quick fix diet as I do like my food, also I work full time with special needs children so on my feet running around all day, studying as well as being a mum.I dont sleep very well and am tired within an hour of waking,so any sleeping tips would be great. I dont have time in a day to go to the gym so anything excercise I can pop in throughout the day would be better. Plz help with any tips if you can and I thank you all for reading.

Cheers Tracey

Quality not quantity

After years of yo-yoing I have finally come to the conclusion that quality of food is much better than quantity. For instance I have started buying some Organic foods which I call treats as they tend to be quite expensive. I have also found that if I make a meal from lovely ingredients i.e. Salmon fillets steamed served over Mashed potatoes with creme fraiche & chives and Broccoli with crispy bacon crumbled on top. Its not a massive meal but a delicious one and for pudding exotic fruit salad i.e. 1/2 mango(keep other half for tommorrow) with cold green grapes from the fridge and 1 passion fruit served with one tablespoon of cream (which is actually enough to cover the fruit). Thinking about a lovely meal is sometimes enough to help you stay clear of the biscuit tin. Imagine if you were thinking about w.w. hotpot it just doesn't seem as appetising as the salmon and mash!! And if time in the evening is of the essence the meal above will take no longer that 20 minutes to prepare and make, alternatively if money isin't an issue try M&S they have some fabulous steam meals. Good Luck

Hi

Hi Tracey

I'm a complementary therapist and specialize in weight and addictions. My own weight problems started when I was a teenager and it's only now I'm in my 30s that I've finally got it under control.

I have worked on my own issues with food and over eating. I no longer obsess about food and eat what I want. I've lost weight slowly and steadily, don't weigh myself (threw away the scales al long time ago) but am a size 14/16 (did weigh 16 stone). And I'm happy!

I've tried many diets - WW, calorie counting, Atkins, Eat Right 4 Your Type, Carol Voderman's detox - but after each attempt I would gain weight back.

I was eating to fill a void in my life and was very unhappy. It took me a long time to work out that stuffing my face with food didn't take away my emotional problems.

The most amazing discovery that I found (and which I employ in my therapy) is EFT. It's based on accupuncture only that you tap meridian points instead of inserting needles. This balances your energy and you can use this system to rid yourself of cravings, turn negative self beliefs into positive statements and literally free yourself.

The tapping part is really quite astounding. It's quick and easy and can turn around the way you feel about food and weight loss. Depending on the emotional issues involved it can take one session or several but generally results are quick and permanent.

If you want to know more about EFT, visit my website (www.efthealing.co.uk) for a free guide. It gives you the basics to work with - why not give it a try on a craving perhaps?

If you have any questions send me an e-mail, I'd love to help.

Blessings

Lyn
