Juicing...
I've just come back from the most healthy weekend ever, with my sister (who is, surprisingly, a student!) She got a juicer for her birthday and has gone mad with it... she's got a great book called 'Juicing for Health', which shows how to get the best nutrients from fruit and vegetables by juicing. I was a bit dubious about chard and carrot juice, but it wasn't that bad. My sis has glowing skin and hair and although she still goes out loads and spends a fortune in the SU she has loads of energy.
Think am hooked... Any other juicing addicts out there? What machines hvae you got? at the moment am rtaher limited to my citrus squeezer, but am pricing up a proper one...any tips?

Juicer i use and ...any recipes for weight loss!?
I use the Jack Lalanne Juicer. I love it. I have had it for about 5 years now. I have to admit I have only used it on and off for these 5 years but it works fabulously!
I would like to know if anyone out there has any really great weightloss recipes. I have all the cookbooks that came with the juicer but I want to know if you all have good ones that you absolutely love and would like to share with me. I will go right out and buy the stuff today!

Please help - need a good affordable juicer!!
Hey guys,
Am a student on a pretty tight budget. After hearing all th great things being said about juicing i'd really love to give it a go. Only problem is finding a good juicer that wont break the bank. Has anybody got any suggestions for a good quality juicer that costs less that £40. Thanks for the help.

Juicing addiction
I've been juicing for years now (since I was a child). Every time I take a break from it I end up craving for the "real food" that gives you life. I switched from one vegetable to another and from one fruit to another... combination after combination. The result is getting rid of bad eating habits and health that many envy. Lately I switched to Acai completely. I have a smoothy every morning and it keeps me going for hours. The thing about it is that I have more energy all day long... it keeps me fresh for the whole day. Unfortunately it's not available in the supermarket, so not many people come across it. I am very happy with the source I get it from now. It is different from the one everyone sells. It comes as pure frozen acai pulp, unprocessed.I've tried the bottled ones, but that's not even near the one I got now. Anyone interested in trying it, let me know and i'll tell you where you can get it.

Hi
I drink a product called Fruta Vida, it contains lots of goodness from the Amazon, the Acai berry, Yerba Mate and Cupucau. I have lost over 3 inches of my waist since October.

Innocent juicing book
I've just bought this great book on juicing (so great that I can't remember the actualy title, but google or amazon it and it should come up). It's really well-written, quite funny, with just enough info and not too much off-putting technical/nutritional blah to put you off. The recipes are fab too! really recommend it if you're looking for onexx

Hi
it's really the RIGHT way to lose weight. I had lost my weight and I looked like never before in my life, but after I stopped it all came back. What I want to say is that I ate row food and drank vegetable juices; my skin was perfect....

????
This may be a stupid question, but can you use a blender?? I have a blender, but whats the difference with a juicer?
|
| |
Well
blender is ok as well, but you get completely different product with it. the pure juice if you want to take vitamines from carrots and other vegetables and if you want to eat almonds, dates and other dry fruit, you can put altogether in the blender adding water or juice and spices

Hi theraze
You can, but it isn't quite the same, as it pulps the whole fruit, rather than extracting the juice, so you get all the pith and fibre. Juicers separate all that from the juice, so it's smoother and tastes better. Am a bit of an addict as well!

oh right thanks! ;-D

Get this book
I know it's a bit off-thread, but it's still great: 'Jane Clarke's Bodyfoods for Life', published by Cassell paperbacks. She also has a cook book too.
My juicer is by Kenwood, its' lasted about two years but is starting to fray at the edges as it gets a lot of use!
enjoyxx

I'm a massive fan of juicing
I juice every single day, l like cucumber juice as it cools the liver and other organs, l have glowing skin and have lost alot of weight juicing, you should be carefull juicing carrots and fruits though as they are full of sugars, the best is green leafy veggies, they will give you an energy driven body in no time
