What?

Just out of curiosity have you actually done lighter life? Because people who I speak to and have done the diet have all managed to maintain their weight loss. I suppose it's like any diet, if you go back to eating how you did before you started the diet then you are bound to put the weight back on and quicker. And as for the water well shouldn't we all drink alot of water anyway, that's hardly anything new. I do agree the cost is alot and I i'm still not convinced they need to charge this much but other than that I think the diet is great.

Lighter life

Hi

I started Lighter Life in January and have lost 33lbs in 6 weeks. The shakes and bars take a bit of getting used to but what amazes me is the fact that I have never felt hungry.

My counsellor is great and I get a lot of supportfrom the other members in the group.

If you want quick results ...go for it.

Lighterlife

Hi, I have been on the lighterlife program for just over 5 weeks and cannot recommend it enough- I have tried other diets but lost heart rapidly as the results are so slow. The councilling is great and the food packs are ok.

Lighterlife

Hi, You may have already made up your mind on this, but i thought i would reply anyway,

I did lighterlife, i lost 4 stone and was really impressed with the diet itself, however i didnt like the hour long sessions every week where we had to talk about being big and why etc, I stopped lighterlife when they upped the price and realised i had no idea on what t do to stay healthy (and slim) once i stopped, they do have a maintenance phase however you do not learn of this until you get to this stage!

If you like the sound of the diet and would benefit from the councelling and have the cash (£66per week!) if you like the idea but would rather you know whats to come and also save a little cash look at the Cambridge diet, i moved onto this it is very much the same with a one on one councellor (rather than groups), cheaper, more flavours, you know whats going to happen from the start and it helped me keep my weight down.

Lighter life

Hi. I've been looking into lighter life and thinking about starting it myself. Not been able to get along to a info session yet though. Do you have to cut out all other food completely or can you still eat things like fruit/salad/veg?

No food

hi jo i went to the info meeting and no your not allowed any food at all.you take the food packs and your allowed black tea or coffee and in addition you must drink at least 4 litres of water a day.hope this helps.i have decided to go ahead with the diet just waiting on a start date.will keep posting on my progress.

Do it!

Hi hopefilly,
I started LL last week, 7th February - lost 7lbs already and do not feel hungry. A little emotional hunger, but will-power is getting me through. I started a blog. Please have a read and see if it helps you make the decision. http://livelifelighter.blogspot.com

Lighterlife

Hi
I'm in the third week of my lighterlife programme and its weigh in tonight. At the end of week 2 I had lost 1stone 1lb. I have not felt hungry or tempted by food (highly unusual for me) I think the fact that you are living off foodpacks takes away all thoughts of food away as you don't have to think about what your going to eat next (which I constanly did) I really feel that after trying every diet known I have found 'the one' thats going to work and I feel confidante about this. Its great to see the weight come off so quickly. Although I intend to stay on 17 weeks in total and hope to loose 4 - 5 stone (although I could do with 6 off) The cost is £66 per week and although most people say that saves them money, I don't think it does as if you eat junk food you can shop relitavely cheaply i.e two for one offers. But overall it doesent set you back too much more and you can't put a price on health.

Lipotrim

hello everyone lipotrim is the same as lighterlife and cd but is only £30 per week its avaliable from some chemists x good luck

Lighterlife v lipotrim

Lipotrim is not the same as lighterlife. there is absolutely no support with lipotrim. the most important part of the lighterlife is the support and the counselling you get, without this you will go straight back and continue eating the way you did before and then the weight goes straight back on.
I have done both and there is no comparison, Lighterlife helped me look at why i over ate and helped me be able to recognize habits i have built up over years, lipotrim, if you went , you went and if you didn't, you didn't.

Decided to go ahead

thanks for that red all the positive feedback and my first meeting last night has convinced me to go ahead with LL just my form to fill in and a start date to arrange i cant wait.Looking forward to a slimmer summer thanks again mandy.

Lighter life

Hi Mandy

Just wanted to know how you are getting on.I reached my 3 stone mark this week and its a fantastic feeeling.

Good Luck

Maggie

Re lighterlife

i have been on it 4 2 wks and have lost 12lbs the first wk is hard but now is easy and seeing the weight come off is the biggest motivatoe to carry on! give it a go u only live once

Go for it

My mum has jumped on every single diet thats come along over the years and I've never seen her as slim and happy as she is at the moment. Shes reached the stage where she is reintroducing normal foods into her diet and although shes had some tough times, especially over christmas, has generally found abstinence from food easier to stick with than controlling food groups or calorie intake. Shes moved from a size 16-10 but doesn't have the gaunt look that she had after atkins and cambridge.
Whatever you try, best of luck.

Thank you

hi thanks for your reply it really helps hearing all the success stories on lighterlife. i have an appointment to see a councellor on tuesday so fingers crossed.

Hope you do..

I would really recommend it. After 4 weeks I've lost over 2 stone and I feel fine. Obviously there are difficult times but it's no way as difficult as a food based diet. I know you checked out my blog (hope you liked it) and that is a pretty warts and all report but I find I talk less and less about the diet and more and more about the rest of my life for which I much more energy and optimism. That's got be a good sign.

Good luck whatever you decide to do.

I lost 6 stone

Hi,

I would recommend it! I lost 6 stone and have kept it off!

Good luck

Hi

hi,I don't know if this will be of any help but I've just started lighter life and in 2 days I've lost 4 pounds, now its nearly the end of week one and honstly I feel better ,my stomach is empty so it feels much flatter,I have more energy, and to my surprise I woke up feeling great not lazy and tired like before.
I'm not saying its great no its very difficult and you need to decide if you really want to give up eating before you start.
I think of food every single second of the day because I can't have it but I convinced myself that I really don't need it and its working..I will tell you how much I've lost this week so you can make up your mind,
The meetings are really great we talk about our struggles, fears, failures and sometimes our personal feelings and this really takes a lot of the burden of your shoulder and makes you feel better.
the programme cost 66£/week its a lot of money but if you calculated your shopping, lunch at work and everynow and then choclate bar you get the same amount.
Take care

Thank you

thank you reena25 that really gives me a lot of encouragement. I emailed the councellor in my area and have arranged to go to the information meeting next tuesday so your reply really helped thanks will keep in touch good luck you.

Do it

i know 2 ppl at work who are on this diet and they have shrunk b4 my very own eyes.i still cant believe it and nor can any1 else!
