I've got 10 stones to lose and so far have lost almost 2 stone, so still 8 to go!

I know it's a long way off yet, but does anyone else have concerns regarding excess skin? I'm worried that I'm going to look like a deflated ballon by the time I finish, and wondering if anyone knows the best way to prevent it?

How is it going?

Hi Yemitopp,

How is the programme going for you? I have only just started back on lighterlife, I did it for a while last year and did pretty good, but had to stop coz of the money! This is my first week and have already lost 7 pound in the first 4 days, so well pleased, still got aboy 5 stone to go tho!! I read you bit about worrying about the saggy skin, and as long as you keep the water up and introduce excercise you should be fine, I have a friend who has lost over 10 stone on LL and she looks bloody good! Plus you have age on your side, I am hoping that will help me out, but I am pushing it a bit now at 26 hahaha

Saggy skin treatment

there is a non-surgical treatment from America called Titan, it works by contracting Collagen and causes loose skin to tighten up. Works both on the face and body; especially tummy, arms and knees. I've seen good results on my sister, she had it done in Cambridge before Christmas and the results are still there. Its not available in regular beauticians but well worth googling for.

I have a question

i lost about 30 or 40 lbs in a month. the only thing that sags are my breasts, and really bad, too. i only weigh 110 lbs right now, if i gain the weight i lost back will my boobs come back?

Sugardaisy

The boobs will come back....or you could have a lift. Whatever you do, stay away from implants.

30-40lbs in one month

Hi there,
How did you manage to lose that much in one month??

Skin tightening

Have you tried "thiomucase cream" or "preperation "H"" on your problem areas? There is lots of information on these products on the "net"-particularly in the bodybuilding circles.

Hi mel

THIS IS A BIG CONCERN FOR ME TO, I AM HOPING THE EXERCISES I AM DOING WILL HELP BUT SINCE I AM OLDER THAN MOST OF YOU I HAVE MY DOUBTS ESPECIALLY AROUND THE STOMACHE BUT I LOVE TO SWIN AND AM HOPING TO START SWIMMING SOON SO I HAVE MY FINGERS CROSSED, MY TOES TOO HAHAH!

PS. I WONDER HOW MUCH A STONE IS COMPARED TO A LG. WHAYEVER IT IS, YEA FOR YOU YOUR ON YOUR WAY.

Honestly..only read if you want honest opinon

So lets focus on what you are doing..and good on ya!...get off the flab thats the first stepand secf and third to be honest...why stay big just to keep your skin stretched.?? honestly, you will have to deal with the bin-bag ..how much, depends on how you loose the weight..with or without exercise......uness you are under 30. but with massage, jaccuzis and exercise you might avoid a tummy tuck operation. in change there is always a price to pay...my best frinds sister in law, had an op after bullying her GP cos he told her to lose weight (so free!)) go for the weight first ..bullying later..and exercise as much as you can..makes sense doesn ...

Thanks

You're right, even if I do end up with sagginess, the fact that I'm likely to live longer, healthier, and happier is worth it. My doc has referred me to an obesety clinic although the appointment hasn't come through and I've lost 2 stone in 6 weeks so I'm trying to do what I can beforehand.

I'm 26 so hoping that will help my skin, I'm drinking loads of water and just about to start bringing in regular exercise, so I'm going to try avoiding it as much as possible.

I'll chain myself to the doctors surgery if things get too saggy!

Cheers.
Mel
