Cambridge diet

Hi all, just wanted to let you know that I done the Cambridge diet a couple of years ago. Yep I lost a staggering 4 stone but put an even more staggering 5 stone on! It's not proper food! The only way to lose weight and keep it off is buy eating real foods but cut down on fats etc and up the exercise. The minute you all go back to eating REAL foods, you'll put it back on! Sorry to be the voice of doom and gloom but trust me, I know and I was carefull.

The diet works if you work at it

Im sorry I do not agree. I have been on the Cambridge Diet and lost a lot of weight and NOT put it back on. If you do not follow the plan then you will gain, follow the plan and you will maintain your weight by eating healthy food at the right level for you. Im not alone you can go to the Cambridge site and see many many successful dieters who have lost and kept it off. Please do not judge a whole system just on your results ... thats not fair and not logical.

The diet works if you work at it

I am on my second week of the Cambridge Diet and although its not the easiest, especially when preparing meals to my husband and son, I have been inspired by the weight loss 8lbs up to now. Yes, I have dieted all my life but the body needed a kick start as it has been ignoring my attempts at weight loss. I believe it will retrain my habits - no more picking at foods whilst making meals, snacking inbetween because you 'fancy' something or when under stress turning to the 'biscuits'. By the time I have reached my goal and worked back up the stages to eating solid foods (like you do in your infancy) your body will have been re-programmed. It's not about 'wow' lost my weight....lets go and eat. It's about doing what you should have done all your life - eating healthily.

I echo this!!

Cambridge diet

As with any diet you need to eat healthy afterwards.

That's why cambridge have the 5/6 steps up after sole source to build your eating back up if you read the cambridge diet booklet I dont think it contains the words pie and chips as part of a balanced diet.

Thgink what your eating after

i totally agree some people think by eating a salad there being healthy then they go and add lots of mayo and a sice of bread .you will not gain back the weight if you only consume the right amount of calories your body is burning off ,good luck everyone

Hi

You will put on weight if you do the diet and then go back to eating as you did before....just as you would on any other diet out there.
If you follow the steps and stick to the recommended foods and exercise then you will be fine and the weight will stay off.

Hello

Can anyone tell me how this cambridge diet works
