| Thread started by: | "Stomach problems -slimfast/fibre?" Posted by pixiepie 7 April at 11:14
I have been doing Slimfast, th shakes only, and am having some problems with my stomach. Apart from gurgling and sort of 'popping' all day, I am also gettig constipated (sorry if too much info). Has anyone else had these problems on Slimfast? A friend said it is because of the fibre in it, and if I am not used to too much fibre then I will have a few problems at first but will settle down. Anyone know of this is right?

Hi, I have just started Slimfast today. Now I'm not sure if I should continue. I have stomach problems already, before taking Slimfast so I guess it's not going to suit me. I have Consipation problems which in some cases gives me an infection in the colon area and bad temperatures and makes me really sick. It's called Diverticular disease, bought on by not eating enough fibre, the colon gets weak spots and forms a little pocket which can get infected. I think it would make sence for me to steer clear of Slimfast. Thanks for the advice, if I had not read your post I wouldn't have known about the side affects of Slimfast.
Cheers

I have been doing the shakes only (on and off) - constipation is caused by not drinking enough water - they tell you to drink 2 litres a day. Personally, I find this a total nightmare - cannot do it - and am constipated A LOT! - How are you finding doing this? How long have you been doing it for? I can't decide whether to stick with it or try something else ...

I have stopped doing Slimfast.I was drinking at least 2 litres of water a day, didn't make any difference. The stomach cramps, bloating, wind and constipation were too much, lol.
