HI THERE, i also have gained weight after breaking my ankle in may, and i am just getting the strength back into it, so i know what pain you have suffered, have you tried taking kelp tablets, they are none habit forming, and are fairly cheap, so you do not have to lay out lots of money on things, if you are on medication ask the doctor first, but most say its ok, they just boost your metabolism up as when we get older it seems to slow down as i also did swimming and yoga and bike riding, also a side effect to the menopause so i am told, i am nearly 59 so know what its like, i gained nearly two stone when i was sat about waiting for the pot to come off, and now i just have to take it that bit easier when i am walking, any way i hope this helps you out, take care on that ankle, ELSIE,
