Cool

5'3 at 61kg? sounds good to me, i think that you may of found your ideal weight then. as long as you are not eating all the nauties then yes . you must look great, how do you feel? it is true that the body does even out at some point and you dont want to loose all your reserve body fat because that is important for illness and times of stress, and of course men like a womenly figure not a beanpole. how are you going to maintain your weight now, do put weight on easily..julie

Hi

i don't put weight that easily, say i have eaten a lot today, but when i train with weights one has to eat because you won't be strong enough if you don't have some extra body fat (say you want to lift more weights that day) and bigger dumbells etc... when i go to the gymn i am not full up, you can see the difference from when you have eaten or you have only eaten a few amount (being on a diet or not so hungry) then you won't have enough energy to lift weights, although this energy is spent after sometime..and if it is not replaced, then one cannot lift more than ligther weights.... for weight training energy is the main point of training, we are not talking about cardio or long distance training...(cardio and long distance training go together, and all you need is some warm up and not a lot of energy to make one hour of training) but weight training is tougher...and i prefer weights to cardio when i go training although i do both of them...in two hours and a half...i also do swimming like 20 mins left after the rest of the excerise program...
but i read some articles that till 140 pounds for a person of my height is not fat..according to the bmi status.., so i can guess i don't get fat so easily never hit the 10 stone actually 9.8 or a bit less than that..

Hi

well now i feel lazy! i must admit i havnt done any exercise yet with my diet, ive lost half a stone in my first week, 1 stone to loose then i will be really happy. i have a treadmill in the house and i am hoping to get on it again but i feel too weak on this diet at the moment. i should start doing brisk walking soon really. i used to do kick boxing which was fantastic for fitness once yu became better at it and great to de- stress! with my body shape/type which is oblong really, no real waist, i have to get down to 9.1/2 stone at 5ft 4in to get into a size 12 waist comfortably, for a pear shape 10 stone may do it for some but not me. i would also like to get back into my motorbike leathers, havnt seen then for years! when i reach my weight then i need to concentrate on muscle toning more than ever because after 3 kids and a hysterectomy in jan 07 my tummy has a mind of its own and i need to get it toned up again. one thing at a time though, thankyou for your reply.. julie

Hi again

hi thanks for replying again and giving your views, for most who are shorter than average they consider 91/2 also a bit overweight but for me it is not, in Malta i'm not considered short 5'3 , and between 5'3 to slightly taller like 5'5 there is only a little difference, i mean i am not too short compared to someone of that hight and probably i might not appear fat infront of these people..i have a very thin upper body and because of that i appear taller than i am sometimes especially with heals on..my lower body has a tendency to be of medium size but not too fat.., some might weigh more because of their lean mass, lean mass is too hard to shed...when i'm 9 1/5 usually i have really low fat storage, because the rest will be lean mass and very low fat might cause health problems...so 10 stone is overweight for you because it is a size bigger than 12.? i think 10 stone make dress size 14 and 9 1/2 is size 12-14.., 10-12 is 9. (9 is equal to 57kg)
anyway good luck in loosing weight i decieded to remain 9 1/2 since itrain with weights, somone who is really low in fat( low to nothing i mean) would find a bit hard to lift weights, because in my situation it would be less healthy and loosing muscle...my frame is not small because of my lower body being muscular to a bit wide, but i'm not pear shaped...i think pear shaped is having shorter and chubby hands, with a tedancy to pile up fat in the mid section and tights...i pile up my pounds in my hips usually not in my mid section, i am not so good in detecting my shape, but pear shape is a mixture of mesomorph with endomorph characteristics..usually no ectomorph there but there can be very little characterstics..depends who are your parents..but i maybe misleading since i read too many websites and some webites say one thing and other websites say another..

Im still here!

well its the 27th of september and i have now lost 18lb in just under 4 weeks , im really pleased with myself but its been ssssooooooo hard some days and i have even had a couple of days when i had a very low fat meal instead. im now at the stage when i cannot take much more of those bloody shakes and soups and have asked for the tetra drinks and bars only this time. my counsiler said im not supposed to have more than one bar a day and i say 'just gimmee the bars now' ha ha im going a bit mad on this diet!! how are you getting on with your training? i have a very very soft bellie that will need some serious work on in a few weeks when i reach goal weight..10lb to goooooo.. anyway hope your ok..julie

Hi again.

well i think problems with belly would be easier to tackle than the problems with hips or tights, i have a little problem with my hips , my tights are firm and muscular and sometimes muscle is mistaken with fat because of the thickness...but my hip bone is naturally wide, that's why sometimes when i diet that doesn't go away so easily, it also maybe loosing a lot of muscle, i was tld to be careful because i don't have a lot of fat and loosing muscle means slowing metabolism...lately i'm more into diet than training, i have been into some stress at work that made me stay at home , not wanting even to go out....anyway but hopefully even if i had a pizza and a lot of cerial, 9.5 seems to be the weight i would stick, not under or over.., people think i'm taller than 5'3 i have a very thin upper body compared to my muscular lower half

Helloooo

well sorry to hear you have had stress at work, hopefully what ever is going on will soon be over. today im having a peice of chicken breast and salad instead of my cambridge meal replacement as its sunday and im doing soo well. under 10 stone now and that was after a wek of plateu which nearly killed me!! i will get to 9 and a half and see how the size 12 feels but go a bit lower if they are still tight. i have a oblong shape body so i have to be lower weight than someone with a pear shape because they have defined waist at a higher weight than i would. i havnt started toning up et, thats the trouble with the cambridge diet becaus eenergy is soo low and doing exercise on it is difficult for many. i will do one thing at time.. anywya chat soon.... julie

Hi again

don't worry, it's common when one is at work, and i haven't met people who work that never had any stress in a moment or another in their life especially when collegues tend to be bad mannered with a person..especially when they find you the 'quiet type' i like quiet atmosphere it's not my fault but at work you have to adjust with the 'noisy' character of most collegues..like it or not..in my case i don't like noisy envirements, i know at work is impossible so that's why i tend to have a lot of clashes at work...oh i'm talking a lot about things that do not have to do with the diet subject but anyway it's good to talk openly with nice people...
Well i weight 91/2 but at 91/2 the face seems to go well inside, i have a tiny weights compared to the rest of my lower body..althugh not it's not that big, but sometimes i see it like that because my muscular definition is above 9, (lean muscle mass) tend to be over 9 stones..because once i went on a very strict diet and ate only apples i went down to 9 but that was it, but my face was horrible inside.., if i exercise i gain weight more than i diet, probably because most mesomorphs tend to gain weight in lean muscle when they walk or train, (i was told i have an upper ecto no many are one body type only but most of us are two)i don't like to gain weight...but i noticed when i am 9.5 and i continued to train again i see that instead of going down i go up but if i don't train i stay the same weight if i don't indulge in too much food...but it takes a lot of time to gain weight, and i tend to gain weight till i'm 10 stone and that's it...
write back and tell me how you're doing..good luck... 12 size is tight but not too tight for a 9.5...i have a wide hip, and it's not because of meat but bone structure.
