Hi Terri
How you getting on?
The doc he say yes. So I started CD monday teatime. Weighed myself this ,morning and have lost 5lbs already. Would be really great if I could lose 14lb this week. Also tested my wee this morning and already in ketosis which is good.
Not sure what I think of the texture of the shakes love the sweet chilli soup. I make the sachets up with about 12fl oz (350mls) on top of that I also drunk about 5 litres.
Although to have a normal BMI I need to lose loads but at the moment I am aiming to lose 6 stone.
Hope you don't mind me asking but what does the 1911 stand for?
Let me know how you are getting on.

Hi Loobe (what does that stand for?)
Started Monday night too but not in ketosis yet but have lost 4 pounds and 2" of bust and waist although nothing off hips and thighs. I have been drinking between 4 and 5 litres of water. Felt a bit rough on Monday as I had had a slimfast for breakfast, cuppa soup for lunch and then a CD soup for tea. Had a headache most of the day but was probably withdrawing from carbs. Haven't felt too bad for the past two days. Have been chewing sugar free gum and wondered whether that is why I am not in ketosis!
The 1911 stands for the date I am getting married in Australia so hoping to lose at least a stone and a half before I go at the end of October.
Anyway well done and keep it up!
Terri

Hi loobi

Im not terry, hope you dont mind me replying to your message?.What a great start you,ve made.I really like the milkshakes have you tried adding ice cubes. Not so struck on the soup.I enjoy them better if i just mix them rather than blend.Big weigh in 2mos fingers crossed.

Hi terri and juney

Loobe is a combination of my name Loo for lou and be are the first 2 letters of my surname.
I had some mild headaches Tuesday was drinking lots of water they seemed to get better when I topped up the caffiene levels.
Terri your loss is good, not everybody gets into ketosis so quick think I do because of my weight. I have not measured myself yet but my bat wings are shrinking will get the measure out in the morning. Its important not to get too hung up on the scales.
My CDC advised me against chewing gum said it makes you feel hungry and want to eat said the same about too many fizzy drinks.
Good luck with the wedding hope you lose the weight you want, it is certainly doable. Hope the wedding goes well. Why are you getting married in Oz any particular reason? I know I is nosey lol.
Good luck with your weigh in tomorrow Juney.
Think I prefer the soups to the shakes think its the texture. not sure why but feel slightly nauseous when drinking the shakes. I mix them with 12oz cold water not added ice non in the freezer. Had the chocolate mint today with hot water still struggled. I do love the Oriental chilli soup, also the broccoli and cheese although my hubby and daughter moaned about the smell.
How much weight do you need to lose Juney?
I am aiming for 6 stones but should really lose more.

Hi loobe and juney

Well done Juney for losing 7lb. Have been doing Ok and haven't felt hungry today. The shakes are much nicer with ice in them - you can get the ice bags on a roll from the supermarket and fill them up to shove in freezer.
Getting married in Oz as can't bear the thought of all the hassle over here and who's not coming if someone else is etc. I have an aunt out there who is arranging it all for me - so what could be better - just turn up. She is hiring a houseboat for 12 of us for 5 nights the day after our wedding so that sounds fun. It has a jakoozie. With the hot weather out there I could do with not looking like a beached whale! So I am very motivated at the moment and finding it easier than I thought - mind you early days yet and still a novelty!
Terri

Hi loobi

Have been for my first weigh in today didnt expect to have lost 7lb.SO IM really thrilled.iv took your advice and made the shakes into a longer drink. How are you getting round the problem of feeding the family?.IV got 1s 4lb to lose. Its the keeping it off i have the problem with would like to lose more but i start to look old and haggerd.Hows today gone? juney

Hi juney

Cooking for the family is easy at the mo when I've been SSing for a while things may be different. Got over the urge to eat think its more habit as not hungry.
My hubby thinks its a fad diet and that you shouldn't have to pay to lose weight. He does not seem to link the fact that I have to spend money on food lol never mind I am sure its a bloke thing. Anyway I am determined to prove him wrong. Also its not that difficult to put a ready meal in the microwave so I do not cook properly every night.
I have also now found the shakes dont taste so bad when mixed with blender either that or I is getting used to the taste.
7lb is a good weight loss for the first week. Wish I only had to lose a couple of stone.
Oh well never mind one of these days it will only be a couple of stone I need to lose.
Oh well best go put the dinner in the microwave thank heavens for the fresh made ready meals in tesco and sainsburys.

Hi juney

Hiya, Can i just say well done on your weightloss so far. hope you dont mind me butting in on your conversation but I'm on day 4 and not doing too bad at the mo, but it's really hard remembering not to pick at the kids food!! My worst time is about 5.30-7.30. I just keep trying to picture myself thin and taking my daughters swimming. My CDC gave me the mixer moussefor shkes. Its quite nice as i have it with a large cuppa and feels like am eating.
cally52
