Cambridge diet

Hello everyone

Have done the CD last year in January and was beginnign to lose weight but couldn,t hang on to it and starting putting all the weight back and much more. However I felt much lighter.I have started it again from the 1st October and would want a diet buddy as well as loads of motivation to keep going.I am a vey savoury loving person and the sweet shakes are making my mouth awful especially the lingering taste in the mouth.Wish they had something more solid and filling .To add to my woes my counsellor isn,t very helpful and just sells the products and unfortunately cant go to anyone else since their work timings aren,t very friendly to me.
Kindly send me loads of motivation and luck my way..I need to lose .....Hold your breath - 7 stones in total..yes..7 stones..

Cambridge

Have used Cambridge for a long time now and now a counsellor so any info you need I should be able to help. It is a shame about your counsellor as all the tips you could get are what will get you through. Water really is the key !!! If you carry a sports top bottle with you everywhere, even on your lap in the car you will find that you sip it all day long. I know what the book says but I think you should aim for 4 litres and no less than 3. 4 Litres is what Lighter Life recommend and I lost (and kept off) 4 stone. Experiment with teas, I found peppermint and redbush useful - put sweetener in them if you need to. I found I couldn't drink coffee whilst doing sole source - it seemed to need a biscuit to go with it ! so it just became easier not to drik in anymore. Painting your nails in the evening is good as when they are wait you can't go routing through cupboards for snacks ! - take up nail art !!! Use the other Cambridge products like the mix a mousse - thats really good as I couldn't take the milk shakes only if I got the Tetras. Just let me know if you need you need to know anything else - you have made the best decision already - to lose weight... now its just a matter of time before you succeed !!!

Thanx

just like to say thanx for all your info , so helpful.
I am on day 16 . losing weight by the day.
I have a great Counsellor , but its nice to get support from others to keep me going thanx and keep it up all you other newbys its worth it..
tip...set yourself a small goal when you make it . reward yourself , but not with food this time..have a manicure, facial or pedicure. good luck

Good luck x

Hi well done for giving it another go I'm sure you will do it this time. I think this website is fantastic for support and ideas. I will happily buddy you and anybody else out there in the same boat.
I have nearly the same mountain to climb as you! I have managed to lose a stone and a half before I started CD but thats since January. I've actually lost about another 10 stone as well, by that I mean lots of 1 stone weight losses throughout the year but I always manage to put the weight back on! So this is last chance saloon for me I've still got 5 1/2 to go and I am determined this is the diet for me.
I also started yesterday and I have found today very hard but I'm hoping the morning will bring a better day!!
I'm struggling more with the soups they taste like powder to me, I prefer the shakes but I'm still trying all the different flavours before I settle on my favourites!! Did you get soups as well as shakes?
Signing off for now but I will be logging in tomorrow.
Good luck x

Thanks

Thanks for your kind words of encouragement.I am sure you will pull through and I am sure I,ll will pull through what with the support and encouragement offered in this forum.I was really hungry yesterday and therefore ate something for dinner although I had only 2 shakes for the whole day and drank the required amounts of water.I hate the soups too but cant help it since the shakes leave such a sweet taste in the mouth and I dont want that the whole day so I have 2 shakes in the daytime due to the convinience since I am working and I decided to have soups at night.By the way I am confused with regards to the water intake. Some say 2.5 litres, some say 3.Can you tell me the exact amount in litres.cant seem to have a measure for pints.

Water advice

My booklet says 2 1/4 litres (4 pints) of fluids. I must admit I am probably drinking at least twice this amount to fill me up at the moment although I'm having to go to the loo a hell of a lot with all that water going in!! Hope you are having a good day today, mine's better than yesterday, I just find it hard at teatime.
Take care and stay strong!!
xx

Hmm

Well for me the hardest bit is cooking for my husband and having to forego all the treats at work place...for instance today we are going to be given pizzas and coke as a appreciation for our hard work and dont know how I am going to resist it.Wish me luck.
