Hi guys I think losing more than 2-3lbs a week is way too fast, despite pressure from husbands, society and the like.

"Re cambridge diet" Posted by shyslimmer 22 November at 15:39
Hi I have just finished the cambridge diet. I have lost 4 stone 3 lbs since the end of June. I am currently maintaining my weight and have so far not gained anything even though I am eating 3 normal meals a day and only occassionally having a product.
I did introduce normal food again slowing following each stage of the plan for about 2 weeks, I was skeptical but still continued to loose even though I was eating more. So many people say you gain it all after finishing but so far so good I've not gainined a pound!
I found the best way for me doing this diet was following sole source for 4 weeks and then having a week where I had a few treats such as a meal out. This kept me going and then I did another 4 weeks and had a weeks gap again. If you keep cheating you end up going out of Ketosis so I was only naughty once a month as I wanted to loose as much body fat as possible.
The other thing I found was three meals a day is hard when you like eating in the evening so I had my first meal near lunch time then had another meal at tea time when I was cooking dinner for everyone else and my third meal in the evening at about 8pm.
Hope this helps

"Cambridge diet" Posted by georgieh123 27 October at 10:51
I started the CD on the 17 oct. In the first week i dropped 10lb and i feel i have more energy than ive had in a long time. The key to the CD is to drink loads of water. its a killer at times, but it really helps flush out those toxins. I was told by my CD counceller that lighter life is the same as they brought it off the makers of CD and changed there name. Just remember to do this for yourself, not just to make your husband happy. I myself split with my partner last year and every so often i hope that i might bump into him when ive lost weight just to say "look at me", i know that deep down im really wanting to lose the weight myself and be what i used to be! hope i might have helped in some small way. heres my email georgieharbison@hotmail.co.uk

"I have started it" Posted by fruitjuice18 26 October at 18:33
Hi ambi, without meaning any offence i'm not very supportive about the way your husband has told you you're unattractive, you have had a BABY this is the BIGGEST trauma your body will go through my sister in law whacked on 5stone when she was pregnant!! there is no sin in a woman putting on weight when she is pregnant, the only sin is the woman thinking that thats the way it has to stay because it doesnt. both myself and my sister in law have done the cambridge diet i actually introduced her to it! I am 5foot8 and at 12stone 3 i felt overweight (and techinically i was even if only by a few lbs). i went on the sole source diet and i lost between 5 and 7 lbs a week!! i only wanted to lose around 1-2 stone so luckily i was able to come off sole source after 5 weeks i then went on to 790 for a week and then 1000kcals, for about a month after I just had to be careful what i ate. i think i only put 4lbs back on which i knew was mainly fluid from being back on normal foods. when you come off this diet you will put a little bit back on. it cant be helped but if you ween yourself off properly it will only be a few lbs in fluid. anyway The first day on the diet is fine your like "i can do this this is easy its just like when i havent had time for breakfast" the second day is the worst. I know this because i went on holiday 2 months ago and put back on 3/4 of a stone and i am therefore back on the diet, the weight gain is my own fault-i went abroad and so couldnt do my daily exercise and i ate what i wanted-what the hell i was on holiday right? i dont regret a moment of it because i had a fab holiday. the first few days you will feel tired and ill, this is hunger. but after that 3rd day you wake up and you feel wonderful, food doesnt control your life anymore and you are actually full on the shakes, your hair is shinier your skin is amazing!! and your sex drive returns too. and the weight literally falls off week by week. in a fortnight i had lost a stone. just be really strong and dont give in and have that cookie-it will ruin it!!! its only for 4 weeks then you can have add a meal. be strong show your husband what you're made of and make him eat his words about you being unattractive. make him sorry he said that as its only because you were giving birth to HIS child that the weight creeped on. good luck you can do it ive done it twice if u EVER need to talk you just message me, the main thing here is support we need support to do this but look at it this way, if ppl say we're crazy at least we can say we're doing something about the way we look rather than sitting around moaning. take care xxxx

I started the cambridge on Tuesday and have already lost 3 pounds, i did try the diet about 8 weeks ago but failed after 5 days although in that 5 days i lost 8lbs!! Get through your first three days and your well on your way to the new slim and sexy you! Also why not start telling your husband a few of his bad features surely he's not perfect? at least you have child birth to justify your weight gain! Pretend you have been chatted to a couple of time's by men, that should set the green eyed monster telling you how much he finds you attractive. Trust ME it works xx

"Golower" Posted by fatbuttercup 26 October at 00:39
Hi,
First of all I cant believe your husband said that, dont you take any notice. I just wanted to tell you about a diet called golower that I have been following for a month and have lost almost a stone. The difference between Golower and all the rest is that with Golower you eat real food!! Order off their website, they deliver all your food to your door and all you have to do is add veg.
This is my typical day:
Coconut nut bar - breakfast Soup (choice of 3) - lunch Chicken curry (add any green veg) - dinner chocolate bar (choice of 2) snack in evening
Still having coffee and drinking lots of water, at weekend I have eggs and bacon and twice a week I have strawberries and cream!!!
Sound good? Check out their website www.golower.co.uk.
Any other questions - just ask me.
Which ever one you choose, do this for yourself - you can show your husband!!!
Love Fatbuttercup x
