Go to the gym!

Hi, i've only just joined but i saw your message (ambi26) and had to reply. I had the same fears about the gym but my sister reassured me (you know, one of the effortlessly skinny and georgeous ones that we all hate) that it would help in moderation. The great things about the gym are that you actually don't come out of the gym ravenous - the physical effort seems to chase your appetite away - and the feel good feeling that you have just burned off x amount of cals stays with you and really does stop you reaching for that biscuit. I also understand what you mean about looking in the mirror and not seeing it but don't give up, i only really notice my weight loss when i look at old photos. My problem is that i have been on weight watchers for so long that it has stopped working,so this is why i'm trying a completely different diet. Keep going! good luck

Keep at it!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep at it. You've done so well to make it to 10 days, it will have all been a waste of time if you give up now. I'm on day 12 and every night I go home and think 'is it really worth it' and then I see the photo on the fridge of me when I was 3 1/2 stone lighter and I realise that I'm on my way to becoming that person again!

You wouldn't be on the diet in the first place if you were happy with yourself so imagine how you will feel in a weeks time when you realise you've given up on something that coun'd make you feel better!

I was at work 9-5 yesterday and then uni 5.30-9.30 and when i got in I was desperate for just 1 cracker and cheese but my boyfriend told me that this wouldn't fill me up and it wouldn't have been worth being good for nearly 2 weeks to just go and start with bad habits again!

I am feeling the same as you, I'm not neccessarily hungry but I just want food! I've just got the end result in my head and know it will be more than worthwhile when i get into the size 12 dress at christmas!

Keep at it. Let me know how your gettting on!

Cheated

yeah i know what you saying it is the end result that counts, how much you lost so far ? whats your goal weight? i started at 14,6. but this week its been bad, cheated a few times not with naughty food but just with food.
i know on sunday at my cdc house im going to be upset with lack of weight loss.

Never mind

So far I have lost 12lb in 12 days. I'm really suprised that i have kept to the diet, thought it would be a lot harder than this! I'm not really hungry, just craving food!

I was 13st 3lb and I want to be at least 10st. I really REALLY want food but I have had a few comments over the last couple of days from people saying they can start to tell I've lost weight so that has encouraged me a little!

As long as the 'naughty' foods you've had aren't too bad and not carbs I don;t see the problem really. My friend started cd but found it too hard so continued with the shakes and soups but had a high protein, low card meal every day and she lost 7lb in her first wk and an average of 3lb every wk after that. I think that as long as you don't cheat with carbs your body can still stay in ketosis (i think!).

Everyone is going to go through bad patches, the most important thing is that you carry on and don't give up. Have you got something to look forward to or something you want to lose the weight for? I'm going to a new years eve party in a fancy hotel with some of my friends (most of whom could be mistaken for super models) so I want to look my best! Think it's easier if you've got something to do it for.

2nd week is over

had my weigh in today, was 4lbs lighter so now down to 13,9.... its weird how my home scales still say 14............ this week is going to be a good week will try alot harder. how you doing?

Not looking forward
