I did the Sacred Heart diet and lost 10lbs in a week. It was excellent and I felt great. When I came off of the diet I took it easy and I DID continue to lose weight, but as I got complacent and steadily got back into old eating habits (coupled with a few meals out and takeaways) the weight has gone back on again.
Now, I really want to stress that the weight gain was expected. I didn't continue to be a saint and then put it back on, so I don't believe it when people say "the weight goes back on as soon as you stop the diet". I know first hand that it doesn't, but you do need to make long term changes in order to keep it off.
For me personally, I find that a quick start in weight loss gives me the incentive I need to carry on as I am incredibly impatient when it comes to losing weight. I want to see results yesterday! hehe.
