Help!!

Hi everyone I'm feeling very upset with myself. In 2weeks on the Cambridge diet I lost 12lbs. Today was week 3 and I got weighed....The scales said I have gained 1lb but I dont understand why. I didn't cheat once and now i'm starting to feel if all this hard work is really worth it. Has this happened to anyone else out there?

Weighing is interesting... you don't get an accurate idea of weight-loss if you don't weigh yourself at the same time of the day/week.
If you are weight-training, you may have increased some fat-free mass... or you may be holding a little more water if the diet suggests increasing water intake.
Your body may have slowed down the metabolism at rest if the new diet is low in calories and nutrients.

Don't feel bad!

Please don't feel disheartened. My aunty is on the Lighter Life diet (very similar) and she only lost 6lbs in her first week. She was very frustrated that she didn't lose more. She continued to only lose 2/3lbs a week and it wasn't until a bout 4-6 weeks into the diet that the weight loss increased.

I believe your body goes into 'shock' during the first few weeks, but allow it time to adjust and I promise the weight loss will speed up! x

Good news

Well everyone even though I gained 1lb in my 3rd week (when I didn't even cheat) It is now week 6 and I've lost a toltal of 20lbs, I am absolutely ecstatic just 4lbs left till I reach my goal weight. I 'm just hoping I'll do it before xmas
