1 week diets

I thought some people who haven't tried one may be curious about these diets where you lose anything from 10-14lbs in one week and my experiences.

The first '1 week diet' I did was the Sacred Heart diet, which works by eating different foods each day (Day 1 - fruit, Day 2 - veg...etc.) and a soup, which you make yourself and can have anytime you wish. I won't lie, this diet was tough. The first day was worse but it does get easier, especially when you can have a bit of meat. Towards the end of the diet I felt fantastic. I lost 10lbs and it really showed. I felt the best I had in years and was constantly smiling. My confidence went straight up. After coming off of the diet, I was very good with my eating for a week, but slowly crawled back into eating normally again (not really bad, but there was the odd takeaway, meal out...etc.) and gradually the weight went back on. I felt awful.

What I want to stress is that this diet was good, made me feel great and I didn't pile on pounds within days of coming off of it. I didn't binge, but I didn't watch what I ate enough, so the weight was bound to go back on.

I am now in my third day of what I think is commonly referred to as the "Chemical Diet" where you get a variety of foods that 'react' to each other. (e.g, for breakfast this morning I had a boiled egg and some grapefruit). I already feel better knowing that I am losing weight and will feel great again come Monday, only this time I plan to establish strict regime that I can maintain once I am off of the diet.

Anyway, enough of my tamblings! Does anyone have any experiences with these 1 week diets? Have they worked for you? Have you started one and given up because it's too difficult? (Believe me, they do take some discipline!) Would be good to hear
