Jogging makes bulky???

Hi all,
Im 21 n though im not obese at all but i wanna shed some weight n tone up my muscles specifically thighs. For that i can't make changes to my diet as im not that motivated
to get stick to a specific diet.

Anyways... i wanna sort out ma problem just by doin some jogging. But somebody told me that jogging makes you bulky. Is that true???
If yes how come? Coz as far as i know it helps you shedding weight over all.

And one more thing...
One concern i wanna share with you people is that drinkin too much water(as usualy is recomended by the diet advisors) does help removing toxins from body but can be harmful for the stomach on the other hand. And it can be even worse if you keep drinkin loads of water specially when you are hungry(to kill ur crave for food). As our natural drives like hunger etc come as a response of body's chemical, physiological, hormonal etc changes and so treating your body with some other thing which it doznt require at allisnt harmful???

I say this in the context that i have come across people who are on diet n drink lots of water when they are hugry.
Anyway I'll be thankful if u can add to my knowledge over these two issues.
